Lovely light lunch, beef sandwich and chips and salad, well presented and very tartly, good for the money. Lovely mug of Latte to finish. Well situated with outdoor seating 😉

Enjoyed an excellent evening at the Court Inn Durham. Brilliant food and service, with a fantastic choice of drinks. If you're a gin drinker, this is the place for you! I would highly recommend this venue, and a special thanks to Ben and his staff for the warm welcome. I will be returning soon.

So we popped in for a bite to eat and I was stood at the bar looking at the "gin emporium" when I said to my boyfriend "I'm paralysed by indecision". At that point the bar man stepped in and helped me by choosing a drink for me after discussing what flavours I like. He made me a delicious gin... More

Booked a table for 6pm on a Friday to enjoy a meal before catching a show at the Gala theatre. Young waitress very nice and took food orders quickly. The food was amazing and portion sizes good. At 7pm we ordered desserts. The guy who appeared to be in charge of running the restaurant said the three mini desserts equated... More

We visited the court inn yesterday for a late lunch. We had brilliant service from arriving and the food was amazing. I ordered monkish and king prawn kebab from the specials board and wasn't disappointed. The fish was fresh and came with rice, salad and a flatbread. I was absolutely stuffed. Staff were very attentive and made us feel very... More

Hadn't visited the Court Inn for some time, and given today's experience I feel that something must have changed in the interim because the offer and style of the place had definitely shifted - unfortunately, not for the better. Despite always being busy when we've been here previously, it really did feel chaotic and unorganised at lunchtime today. Whilst the... More

I had reserved a table two weeks prior to my family, and I attending the Court Inn and specifically told the member of staff that we were bringing two dogs with us. On arrival, I was so disappointed to discover that a table wasn't allocated and set up and we were told to sit by the door because of the dogs.... More

Given a very warm welcome. Twinkly lights are always good but everything seems to sparkle in there. The menu is very varied with some interesting options. We both had pies and they were delicious. Fancied the syrup sponge pudding but no room left for that sadly. Will definitely return.

Visited yesterday with a friend for a catch up and breakfast. We sat in the Cathedral window area and both ordered the "Court breakfast" with toast and a mug of tea. It's help yourself to sauces and condiments and the meal arrived quickly and there was plenty of it. You could tell straight away that this was no "greasy spoon"... More
