Our first visit to a restaurant in Douglas and we were so impressed. Delicious fresh fish and brilliant chips!

This restaurant put a smile on our faces after a disastrous start to our break. We were meant to stay in Peel but our accommodation had over booked and we ended up in Douglas. We had intended going to the boatyard in peel and we...More

As a vegetarian it is often difficult eating out in Douglas, going to a fish restaurant probably wasn't the best idea but the other 3 people in the party were all non-vegetarians. There was only one main course choice which was Battered Haloumi with chips,...More

Just arrived on the island and chanced a walkin on a Friday night and was not disappointed. Food was lovely, well presented and great service. Fish lovers will delight in this restaurant but there are other options. Thoroughly recommend.

What a lovely place that we just chanced upon waking along the harbour. They squeezed us in for a great meal and wine.

Luckily we managed to get a booking last minute at this rather bijou and, obviously popular, restaurant. The service was excellent and even the chef in the open kitchen helped clear tables at busy periods. All staff were professional and attentive without being intrusive, My...More

This is obviously a very popular restaurant, we managed to book a table luckily, but were told they needed the table back for a certain time(not a problem) I was so glad we did! The food, service and atmosphere were incredible! There was no sense...More

Lovely food, beautifully prepared. My husband had lobster with queenies and I had fish gratin with Manx cheddar and lobster sauce. Highly recommend, great staff too.

Small cozy. Family recipes. Open Kitchen. Near courthouse. I enjoyed the atmosphere, watching them cook the food, and eating something that was unusual. My wife didn't like it. Thought it less than clean. Food not great. So, two different reviews from same dinner. I would...More

Sir - having chosen to besmirch my character on this website and lied about our correspondence (my letter to you was dated and sent 13 Sep - accept I got the date wrong in my posting) - so please provide details of your advocate to allow my solicitor to pursue your perverse statements through the courts. I am neither 'rude' nor 'condescending' and what you describe as a 'tirade' was a fair report of the food that your team/suppliers provided - I still shudder at the memory of at least 3 instances of approx 2.5 inch long by 1/2 inch wide pieces of crab shell in the 'coriander' soup - life-threatening to be sure. Your mother's misaddressed e-mail was OK by me and whilst some of the points were unusual (e.g. to engage with your suppliers directly) it offered a £50 voucher which if we determined we'd ever revisit the IoM and your restaurant we would have taken up (neither of these appeals to us). Judging from your responses to other 'negative' reviews on this site you are a rude and uncaring provender that deserves no happy clients. Your suggestion that we should have returned to discuss our 'niggles' was absurd - we were on holiday and not minded to return/waste time on Tanroagan engagement. John
