On 26th November 2016 I and a few friends had dinner. Three of us needed to have our meal served within a one hour time frame. To cut to the chase, I ordered cod (non battered) with vegetables. After about half an hour our food arrived. The two others got what they ordered. I was given fish and chips with... More

We have visited for pre theatre dinners before and the place has been hit and miss, but this last visit was the worst it has been to the point that we would not return. Booked a table and arrived to find an empty restaurant. Service was slow with a waitress who was either new or didn't understand what we said,... More

During my staff at the Sefton hotel I dined here with work colleagues. I ordered the Fish and Chips for dinner, the service was quick, the staff were friendly however I felt the fish could have been better. I will order something else next time if I dine here.

Looked forward to having a pint in Sir Normans bar but was left extremely disappointed. Shabby and with little character despite a few photos and flyers on the walls. Staff were disinterested, the food poor and tables sticky. The chance to make this bar work well has been missed.

We were passing by walking into town and decided to have a late lunch so went in. Place was empty at 3:30pm but still serving food. I've eaten here before and it's been hit and miss. Today was a big miss. Unfortunately, I will not be eating here again. I ordered the ribs and swapped the chips for a salad.... More

We visited for a date night whilst in Douglas. They didn't have what we wanted to start. We sent the mains back twice, pork ribs, they were welded to the bone & so dry. Food was terrible.

This is part of the Sefton Hotel. You can't miss it - there is a sculpture of Sir Norman Wisdom sitting on a bench outside the door. We are here on our first night, and were able to walk in without a reservation. We had a nice meal, but there didn't seem to be a huge choice available on the... More

This place really needs to decide if it is a pub or a restaurant. Food is inedible, service is incredibly slow. Is a real shame as the location is good.

Our previous visit a few months back was a little disappointing but today's visit merely confirmed this was no blip. My curry was bland, I could have done better, the Tesco micro popadom was tasteless & the chutney awol. Other meal, steak burger was fab , fries were sent back, hard as nails. New ones came, 100deg c but not... More
