Good food with a wide selection - for pub food. We enjoyed the pork belly with a glass of wine at a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and service quick. Maybe not cuisine, but a pretty decent dinner.

Food was good for a pub, staff were rushed off their feet as this is the only place open late and their till was down. Live music later at night.More

Went in for a couple of drinks, staff very friendly and chatty, bar was busy with families in for meals. Some locals in playing dominoes which added to the local friendliness. Drinks not too expensive either.

Friendly, welcoming and traditional pub. The menu had many options to choose from. Beefpie was delicious. Whisky and gin of the month were a nice touch, had both!

Great service and good food; not much more I can say but the fact I haven’t given five stars is because I have no idea why, it just wasn’t worth five stars. Don’t let that stop you going though!

Today we visited this highly recommended restaurant in Kingussie. A waitress gave us the worst table of all in the house near open doors to stock, quite cold place. When we sit down we found out the table is uncleaned of sugar and quite sticky....More

My wife loved the Mac and Cheese so I had a bite of hers and agree. My fish was decent, not great, but I am always looking for pan fried so I’m hard to please. Very good service and friendly people. Dog friendly

Description
Food served all day, every day, last orders 8.45pm (later during summer months). Under new management since August 2016, The Tipsy Laird is a traditional village pub in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park with a great range of local Malt Whiskies, Scottish Gins & Cask Ales, and a fantastic food offering at affordable prices, with daily specials as well. The Tipsy Laird boasts a stunning South facing beer garden, perfect for lunch on a weekend or a quiet pint in the evening. Or if you prefer the indoors, we have plenty of seating in the bar & restaurant areas, with a roaring fire for the winter months. We are family & dog friendly, although please note persons under the age of 18 (this includes babies) are not permitted on the premises after 8.30pm unless consuming a meal. Please note that restaurant service concludes at 9pm every night. Dinner reservations are recommended, especially from May - September & during school holiday times.
