I love the cheese and onion pie with mash and peas. This pub also has a wonderful and huge beer selection, nice personnel and a cosy atmosphere. Strongly recommended!

Thanks so much for the 5 star review. The cheese and onion pie is my favourite, too! Glad you had a good experience with the team, we think they are a great bunch.

Blummin good fodder, pie mash gravy & wine. Lots of other food choice, friendly staff, choice of beers & wine, and loads of 'events'. We love it here!!

Visited here yesterday with two friends prior to and after a game at The Mos Rose. Excellent beer and a friendly welcome. Small but very accommodating and good prices too.

The Treacle Tap as a bar seems to specialize in real ale, and a menu of artesian food. The menu at lunch is either soup, sandwich, soup + sandwich, food platters e.g. ploughman's, Mediterranean. We had soup and sandwich, and the Mediterranean platter. All food...More

Thank you very much for the full review, we really appreciate it. We're delighted that the food quality beat your expectations, and will work on the service being better than 'OK' next time! We don't think the food is pricey when compared to our input...More

In Macclesfield for the evening on search of real ale and new places and were not disappointed by The Treacle Tap. Great little bar with good ales and good vibes. Had the beer tapas and the beer platter and we were very impressed with both!...More

A lesser known gem. Great beers (both craft and trad) and nice food. Friendly and clean. Well priced. All in all well worth a visit our two.

Love this place and at last got to sample their cheese and wine Wednesdays. Friendly staff and atmosphere and a great selection of beers. The pies looked great so will defiantly have to return for one. Great little place in macc.

This is a small 'new generation pub'. It's kept much of the coziness of a traditional pub but feels newer and fresher. Focus is on artisan/craft beers. I had a Chorlton Sour - just that, never had a sour beer before!More

Thanks very much for leaving us a review. Your description of the bar is interesting - we converted a closed down shop so it is nice that we have managed to create something of the feeling of a traditional pub. You're right about the beers...More
