On a recommendation from a colleague we booked in for Sunday lunch. It was well worth the visit. We had a Bloody Shame, there twist on a Bloody Mary, absolutely delicious. Padstow crab salad to start, it was the best we have tasted. Roast Beef followed. The best Roast beef I've tasted in a long time. If your considering, don't... More

Last time we visited things didn't live up to the Inn's own publicity but we decided to give it another go. I wished we hadn't bothered. The service, from the both the bar and waiting staff was poor, with drinks not arriving even after we had ordered at the bar, having given up on table service. The food was average... More

We loved eating here and it is my number 1 place to visit again! Seriously, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about all the dishes, the decor is simple, stylish and comfortable, and the food is divine!

Following a visit to the Eden project for the light festival we thought we'd pop in for an evening meal. The decor is lovely and service was attentive. The food was very good and we had... More

What an improvement over previous visits. We have had some disappointing meals since the present owners took over but our most recent dinner there can only be described as excellent in all respects. If this quality is maintained I am sure that old customers will return and be pleasantly surprised.

My partner and I had a gorgeous dinner here on Tuesday whilst staying locally. The building and warm decor was beautiful, and we were greeted with two very helpful and polite staff. We sat at the bar and enjoyed two excellent cocktails, followed by three courses at a romantic corner table, by the open fire. The food was excellent, and... More

My family treated me to a very special lunch on September 17th. I knew the pub of old and simply could not believe my eyes at the amazing make over the current owners have achieved without losing the charm or character of the old building. The service was excellent , secrets of my son arriving from Australia unannounced to join... More
