A first visit on the occasion of my wife's birthday. The food did not disappoint beautifully presented with well balanced flavours...We both chose from the a la carte menu...but the fixed price also looked tempting and very reasonably priced at £26.95 for three courses. My starter....the crab lasagne was absolutely delicious. My wife chose a warm beet and goats cheese... More

Although the location is beautiful and the restaurant having been refurbished was given a more modern style, and also regardless of the good and attentive service: the food has become disappointing, uninteresting and the portions minimalistic. What a pity!!! It used to be a favourite of mine

The restaurant had just been refurbished and looked fresh and cheerful. A good few months since last visit. A nice welcome from Maitre D and deputy Maitre D. We started off with a glass of champagne for me and a G&T for David. We liked the dishes on the set menu so we had that. Ham hock Terrine and chicken... More

My review would have been graded excellent if we had not been left so long before our order was taken. The restaurant on a monday was not busy and for a hotel of this quality I would have expected better attention as we did try a couple of times to attract attention. Luckily we were with friends on a massive... More

Great food, vegan friendly. Very accommodating, and very relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. What a stunning facility. Plenty of parking on site. Excellent service. Expensive, but well worth every penny.

The Petersham is in a great location to take advantage of the views down across the river, the setting and decor of the restaurant is lovely - although initially unclear which way to go when you enter from the car park. The food and drinks were superb and we all thought reasonably priced for what was on offer, the duck... More

To be honest, the room itself is not spectacular (and there is not mush of a view after dark) but the three course menu was outstanding and we chose Turkey and the trimmings for the main course.... and they managed to get a snow storm for us (at 30 minutes past the hour)...utterly enchanting. Friendly staff and excellent service.

Booked a semi-separate room for a special occasion for ten friends. Drinks were promptly and efficiently served while we waited for everyone to arrive, then menus distributed when they had. When the time came to order, the first of a series of disappointments; the lobster was off, but no-one had told us when giving us the menus, as surely they... More

Don't usually like eating at restaurants in hotels but this one surpassed all my hopes with excellent food in a lovely setting for dinner with friends for my husband's special birthday. We had a window seat which would have been spectacular with views over the Thames had it not been dark. The service was first class and the only thing... More

I visited the Petersham restaurant on a Tuesday afternoon. It was very quiet with only a couple of tables occupied. There was a varied selection of tea and cakes. The egg and cucumber sandwiches were a bit of a disappointment but overall the afternoon tea selection was great. A bit pricey but with views over the Thames I think it... More
