We popped into this little restaurant on the recommendation of a local person while on vacation in northern BC. We were so glad we did! The food was plentiful, freshly cooked and delicious. The service was warm & friendly and we loved chatting with local folks and hearing about life in this peaceful town. The menu is delightfully creative and has several vegetarian options. We loved their home made bread & coffee was good. If you are ever in New Hazelton, don’t miss this wonderful cafe!

Cozy cafe with great views from the counter up front. The staff are friendly and our order was up quickly. Especially considering the food seemed like it was all prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients.

Great experience at the Travelling Mug. Nice and clean, Jerk chicken wraps were yummy and had a nice assortment of fresh veg inside. Would stop by again if in the area.

After a great recommendation from the travel info centre (some great local crafts for sale there). We landed at Zelda’s for coffee and what turned into second breakfasts. We all enjoyed our Canadians, mocha and cappuccino’s as the coffee was fantastic. Everything we had was homemade and fresh. A delicious break in our day. What a hard working happy staff as well. Stop in and say hi as you arrive, depart or drive past New Hazleton.

This place is a must to eat at. Zelda knows her stuff! It’s a breakfast and lunch place, with excellent coffee, many choices of eggs and one avocado toast. I had the breakfast wrap, and it was excellent, with a nice balance of flavours and a good size. The muffins are awesome. Someone beside us was eating a hash that looked excellent. The egg on bagel worked well on multigrain, for the one among us who is lactose intolerant. The staff is friendly and efficient. I would eat there again and make sure I had an extra muffin to take away with me next time.
