Taken here by friends a few times. Always fun! Great salumi. It's very fun to cook meats on very hot stones at the table. Vast wine collection. Very scenic location. Looking forward to my next visit here. Worth a trip from Lago Maggiore area.

We are going to the Divin Porcello for years in family. The quality never changed. Just fantastic food and also wine. Massimo the owner is a really pro and very nice. Lots of effort has been put on the restaurant. We highly recommend this place.

I came here for lunch with my wife and some of the family. It was fantastic. The food was really good. I'd recommend the antipasti to start especially the "pork tuna" which was great. As a main, I had the house speciality; slices of raw pork which you cook yourself on a heated slate. Excellent. The other mains were also... More

With a group of friends we stopped for a (late) lunch: the staff had no problems to manage our late arrival. We chose a simple menu with a cold meats entree and a main course, with a good red wine from the house. All the meat cuts were delicious and a few were a real surprise! The interior is roomy... I have visited this restaurant on several occasions and find the whole experience excellent. We usually stay the evening after dinner in their very good bedrooms. The food, service and obeisance of the restaurant is for me five star.I have visited many restaurants in Italy and this is my favourite.

Had read in the last years tons of good reviews about this place; they produce air-dried meat products (asked if from own reared pigs but no answer); rustic scenic restaurant with different sizes of dining rooms on both underground and ground floors to cater from the most private intimate to larger groups; beautifully and smartly organized with a plus of... We have eaten there twice. For the first time we got nice discount as we were guest of Casa Brancio and they have some friendly agreements. The second time, however, was a bit more expensive. They have rather unclear way for showing prices in the menu. The main dish is only, eg meat, and for a side dish (eg roast... More

The restaurant is located above the village of Masera, not far Domodossola along the E62 highway going towards the Simplon Pass. We called to inform that we would be arriving late (around 14:30) and they told us it was ok. The restaurant was still full when we arrived. Reception was friendly and professional. The food was regional Piemontese/Ossolana. Had the... More

It is very delicious and the service is outstanding. The top of it: The restaurant owns a transporter and offers you a ride to a nearby restaurant or the train station

Description
The attractive landscape of the Alps, the ancient tradition of stone houses, the woods and the embrace of a quiet nature would be sufficient reasons to visit the typical restaurant Divin Porcello. Designed to preserve as much as possible the local traditional stone houses in the Ossola Valley, the place has been restored recently, creating eight distinct environments, each with its own atmosphere and features. You will immediately be won over by the unique flavors of our products and dishes, such as gnocchi Ossolana style. The most popular dish is the Lauscera, soapstone served table-side with baked potatoes and house sauces. Though it may seem typical, it is the symbol of our success: selected pork meat is cooked right at the table, on hot stone, and served in a compartments dish with roasted potatoes and sauces made from mayonnaise, curry, pepper, parsley and garlic. Our cellar will give you the pleasure of unforgettable tastings with wines selected by patron Sommelier Massimo. Divin Porcello is also production of salami, made with artisan techniques and great care.
