Every Year I come down to Youngs Point, I always stop into The diner, and get breakfast. Their Bacon, Eggs, and well...everything, is just On "Point". (heh, see what i did there). Also, great service. Great Place to come to at any time, especially in...the Morning, and just excellent food. Really great French toast, too, amazing. It's a great place to come to if you're going to Clearview Cottage Resort, and it's walking distance.More

This is a terrific family owned and operated small town eatery and pizzeria !! The owners are very friendly and their staff of mostly family members are eager to please. Menu is varried and priced right. Breakfast includes coffee and they have a buffet on...weekends. Pizza is eat-in or take out. Best chicken wings in the area !!! Unfortunately their A/C is not up to par and it becomes a 'sweat' shop on hot summer days and especially summer evenings. The building is old but in good repair. The washrooms are old and even-though clean need a major overhaul.. It must be difficult to ask family members to clean toilets !!! They plan to open a 'drive-thru' takeout window but that seems stalled due to cash-flow restrictions. The coffee is great and the quantity and quality of food is wonderful but I worry they may not make it through the winter.More

We had been boating all day, it was raining and we just wanted something decent to eat that wouldn’t take too long. Found this little restaurant that was closing in 45 min. We ordered a pizza and wings. They were both good and fast. Would...definitely go back. Had home baked muffins and butter tarts too...looked great!More

Group of four happened by - brunch was being served; food more than adequate - scrambled eggs ready-made and waitress volunteered to provide eggs-made-to order; choices of toast (and NO EXTRA CHARGES FOR SAME); lots of pancakes .. with the old standby syrup AND also...a warmed, thick fruity, home-style sauce. Food was plentiful - $8 for senior portions including bottomless coffee and icy cold water. Smorg included great sausages when we visited; plain yogourt with fresh fruit and granola. Property is clean and fresh ... staff friendly. Heart warming to see a young family treating a gramma to brunch and also a table full of family members. Yup - a family kind of place! Shout-out to waitress Christina who provided not only warmed milk for one person's coffee, but also a wee extra serving of pancakes for my friend who could only eat small portions at a setting - you made our day!More

Dropped in for breakfast. As I don't eat meat, I ordered an omelet that included diced tomatoes, mozzaella, mushrooms and herbs, side of sliced tomatoes instead of bacon.... they were quite happy to accommodate. Chef mentioned she would add this to menu as "pizza omelet"....Warm atmosphere and friendly service...thank you Linda. Definitely dropping in again on next visit to Stoney Lake.More

I enjoyed a vege wrap and Mediterranean salad. My friend had fish and chips. Large servings and beautiful setting overlooking the lake. A great outing on Stoney by water for docking, or car. Also fun to walk to the locks and check out the boats.

So my mom and I were out for a drive and ended up in Young's Point. We asked someone out walking if there was a nearby place to eat. He directed us to the YP Diner. Great suggestion! This diner is quaint and quintessentially country....The owner and her sidekick are just wonderful....so friendly and welcoming. Service is absolutely top notch. Restaurant is spotlessly clean. They offer a great menu with varied selections that will provide something for every taste. My mom had cream of potato soup and a western sandwich. She said it was simply scrumptious. I had a BLT which was served on a delish bun, and a Caesar salad. Without a word of exaggeration, it was the best Caesar I've ever eaten!! They have their own homemade dressing. Wish they would bottle and sell it! Lol. I wouldn't normally critique a lunch in a diner, but I just had to take the time to do this one. Super sweet ladies....delish food....lovely country atmosphere. We can't wait to go back in the summer!! Kudos YP Diner!!More
