There were six of us looking for a casual restaurant on the lake for dinner after the Labour Day weekend. It was raining and a lot of cottagers had already left the area to get back to school and jobs. Patio 27 at Young’s Point...wasn’t busy that evening so they only had a small staff working. Our server, Nadine, was excellent. She was able to answer all of our question about every item on the menu and memorized all 6 of our orders, all different and with special requests. The chef prepared everyone’s meal very timely and according to all of our specific instructions. We were very happy with our meals and very happy to have Nadine serving us. We will be definitely be back.More

If you are looking for a nice view and great pub food then Lock 27 is for you. We are there every week enjoying a pint or food on the patio overlooking the water. Service is good and food is tasty.

We've been to this restaurant many times when it was patio 27. It's now called Lock 27 I think. Steve the previous owner was an excellent owner came around and saw every table and checked on the food. So we decided we go down this...year as we have for many Summers. We had a great waitress have a nice table overlooking the water there were only about two other tables there. We ordered some wine which came promptly but after that everything took quite a while. I ordered a caesar salad and wings which the waitress told me they were very large. My husband ordered a Reuben sandwich. I mentioned to the waitress that wings are a very popular item up in this area as well as Caesar salad and that they've always been great here. Well they weren't the Caesar salad was not bad but the wings were so small and they come by the pound and there were six for $13.95. I asked for them lightly tossed in sauce and when they came out they were drenched in sauce so they were sent back and when they came back they were just as much sauce on them and I also asked for the mild and they came up medium spicy. My husband's Ruben sandwich which is a grilled sandwich came out toasted so we sent it back and the waitress kindly came back and said they couldn't do any more upset burn it. He originally ordered fish and chips but it was a Friday and they had no fish left which can happen. Husband ordered a burger which was just average nothing to write home of it. This is a prime location and it's always been busy you always have to wait for a table on a Friday night or any night but with only two tables in the place you can see why. While we were sitting waiting for our food three other tables came in and the waitress kindly told him that the kitchen was closed even though we did not have our food yet. How can a place turn away business when there so much competition up there. I think the new owner Karina really should go around to a few of the other restaurants and see what Wings really look like it's a shame because we usually go back three or four times in the summer and take people with us. The picture attached to this is a picture of wings taking at a local restaurant for a dollar wing on their wing night. When a person orders Wings this is what they are expecting to get.More

Have been to this location numerous times over the years and was happy to hear it had reopened albeit with a new name. We arrived at 1:15pm on a Monday and were seated promptly, things went down hill from here. Our food and drink order...was placed and after an hour the waitress apologized for the delay indicating the kitchen had not been prepped properly and advised our food was coming shortly. 30 min later the waitress advised our food was still backed up and would be another 15 min, she suggested we go somewhere else’s if we didn’t want to wait. We asked if we could at least have our appetizers since they were only onion rings and garlic bread. After 10 min our waitress re-emerged with a salad and what was suppose to be garlic bread.... again she apologized indicating the kitchen was focusing on “larger” table orders. This excused lasted less than a minute when noticed a table of 4 (same size as our group) who arrived 30 min after us receiving their food order. When we questioned this our waitress simply threw up her arms and indicated the kitchen was not running well at all. At this point after more than 2 hours we cancelled our remaining order and proceed to pay our bill. To our surprise we were told that a number of angry customers had like ourselves cancelled their orders and left. I hate to be writing this review but given our experience felt a need to voice my concerns. Be forewarned if management doesn’t address the issue of food service and poor food quality (what little we received was at best described as prepared extremely poorly) this place will not stay open for long. I’m sorry to say after many years of being a patron here we won’t be back.More

Patio 27 Restaurant and Bar (or "Lock 27 Tap and Grill" as it now seems to be called) is a bit tricky to find but worth the few minutes of extra effort. You essentially have to enter a recreational trailer park in order to find...it. To be fair, it's a bit rustic -- this is NOT fine dining!! BUT it has a patio with a great view of the water. You can't help but be in a summer spirit as you enjoy watching all the "comings and goings" of boats and seadoos, and as people swim at the beach on the next property to the east. Prices are good -- service is reasonable -- typical pub menu (salads, sandwiches, burgers, nachos, etc) with decent food -- why not come and enjoy a few hours on a summer day? The last time we were there, they even had live music on the patio. It wasn't too loud and it added an even extra touch of summer atmosphere.More

My husband and I and another couple went to dinner here and the scenery was beautiful, we sat on the patio. The server advised us when we went to be seated that it was a 45 minute wait because the kitchen was backed up, we...appreciated that she mentioned that. We agreed to wait and ordered a drink and our meals right away. We all ordered the burger dinner with different sides. The server brought our drinks and we sat and chatted and enjoyed watching the lake. Our dinner came 1.5 hours after we ordered it, my food was really good, cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. My husbands burger was dry and not hot. My food was good, he wasn't impressed....not sure if we will go back...too bad because its really close to usMore

We visited this location 3 times over the summer. During our visits, we experienced ridiculously long wait times ordering drinks, meals and food delivery. The location is fantastic, being right on the water, and perfect for boaters although the boat parking is limited.
