We came on recommendation from the land lady where we staying with. Booked well in advance. The pub has a good feel to it , well presented and very clean, stripped wooden floors ,not overly spacious bar though. Starters we had mini scotch eggs, wonderful...More

Had been recommended to go to the Duck and we were not disappointed. Lovely setting, very friendly staff ( including one waitress who is a dead ringer for Arya Starck in Game of Thrones!). Food and setting fabulous and we sat out in the very...More

We have been here twice this year and our July visit was terrific. Good gastro restaurant, if a little pricey.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch and both had the open fish finger sandwich, which was very tasty and we didn't have to wait too long for the food. As the weather was good, we sat outside, which was good as the surroundings...More

We read many reviews before picking this restaurant on our mini moon trip to Norfolk and had high expectations. The restaurant looks lovely and the staff very friendly. The starters were amazing with lots of flavour. However we were disappointed by the mains. My new...More

We had a great meal here previously and so booked for Sunday lunch. Our starters were good, but the meat in our main courses was only lukewarm. On returning one, it was soon returned with the previously decent slices of pork replaced with a few...More

We had a most enjoyable Sunday lunch. The Roast Beef was great. Service was a little slow but the restaurant was very busy.

We had an excellent meal there last Saturday night. Very pleasant staff and excellent food. Typical gastro pub surroundings. Would recommend it if you are in North Norfolk

Lovely lunch, maybe not worth the hype, but high quality simple food. Service was good, and we were welcomed warmly even though it was almost the end of lunch service. Whilst the food was relatively simple it was high quality and very tasty.

Superb service and excellent food - not a single complaint to be seen ! If you're ever around the north Norfolk coast and fancy a superb meal without all the modern fussy touches, look no further than the dog-friendly Duck Inn at Stanhoe.

An award winning rustic-smart gastropub, serving the best in local produce and East Anglian ales. Friendly and efficient service perfectly compliment the incredible food served up by chef patron Ben Handley and his team. Norfolk favourites such as Brancaster crab, steaming bowls of Norfolk mussels, locally-smoked salmon with gingerbread are regular highlights; along with Chef Handley’s famous black pudding-scotched quail’s eggs. Sundays' roasts of local pork and Holkham Estate beef are widely regarded as the best along the coast. With two stylish bedrooms; there is always the option to enjoy a wonderful evening meal and super wines from the varied wine list, before staggering upstairs to unwind under the snuggly duck-down duvets. Booking is always essential.
