We stopped here on the recommendation of an old friend. We are glad we did. The food was very good. There was a patio and the locals made our visit really interesting. They were friendly and informative. Coffee was excellent.
This is a hidden gem of a cafe. Good food. They roast their own coffee. It was very nice to get a proper latte after camping for a few days. We enjoyed the photos showing the history of the building.
Stopped for coffee and a grilled cinnamon bun... Amazing! They roast the coffee beans in house. Well worth the stop!
Nestled down in the valley of Rock Creek on the main highway is the Rock Creek Trading Post & Cafe. One of the oldest buildings in the valley and rich with history of all who have owned the property, the current owners Scott & Shirley...are true to keeping the history alive with their take on really good food and coffee offerings. Scott with his daily roasting of the coffee beans and then crafting them into amazing coffee to Shirley with her offerings of fresh sandwiches, gooey cinnamon buns that my kids loved, shakes and for me, gluten free brownies and crazy good lemon squares. You won't find gluten free meals here, however Shirley does have a few desserts to go with that amazing coffee. If you love good coffee and sticky buns or GF desserts, you won't want to miss this place on your way through Turner Valley and Rock Creek.More
My wife and I were traveling between Kelowna and Nelson and stopped at the Rock Creek Trading Post. There is an outdoor covered seating area as well as seating inside. They roast their own coffee which is $15.00/lb. The bathroom was large and clean but...only one person at a time so there was a line up occasionally. We purchased an egg salad sandwich, a Reuben sandwich and we shared a coffee milkshake. The coffee milkshake was vanilla ice cream and two shots of espresso. It was served in the large metal container and it was rich, thick, and delicious. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty. We thought the prices were quite reasonable. They have a number of fair trade items in the store. A very enjoyable experience.More
Called in here on a recommendation on our way through. Good coffee and fabulous toasted cinnamon buns just out of the oven. Very friendly too. Absolutely recommend as a pit stop.
Great fresh coffee and milkshakes. Lots of people eating ice cream too. Nice stop on the way in or out of the kettle river park or just when driving by
Stop in for a break of driving. Grab a freshly brewed cup of coffee and one of their freshly made desserts, sit on their outside patio and watch the traffic go by. They roast their own coffee.
Funky place where you can buy pretty much anything you might need, including Guatemalan handicrafts. Good news... they also make excellent sandwiches!
Cute place. Ice cream and coffee and sodas some gifts. I think they make lunches too but we didn’t see anything while we were there, however it did say eatery and someone was in a kitchen area. Cozy stop to stretch your legs and use...the restroom. Funky furniture outside.More
We stopped in here for breakfast on our way through yesterday. The coffee was so good that we brought a pound of it home with us. We both had the breakfast special of a cheese omelet. My husband added ham and I added veggies. They...were both wonderful. The staff was friendly and the food was great. Can't ask for more.More
Great food & coffee in a funky old building. Goods from other places and local items too. Excellent & inexpensive breakfasts!
I went back to this place to grab some lunch, (it seemed fine the previous times) stood there for about 10 minutes, no service at all, what a waste of time, I WILL never be back to the establishment, I don't know why they're even...open, Terrible Terrible Service!!!More
Friendly and quick service. Coffee was excellent, a refill was free and the breakfast sandwich delicious!
