Food here is pretty bad, a mixture of unappetising mush and flavourless travesties. It's an interesting cultural experience, since it seems like mostly locals dine here, eating atop cushions and rugs, but overall the memory leaves me nauseous

The quality of the food and how it is cooked is amazing, yet very reasonable pricing in comparison to portion and taste.

If you wish to try traditional Omani food in traditional Omani restaurant, Bin Ateeq is the place to be. Do not expect super service or a very tidy clean place. I'd prefer to have take outs rather than dining in.
