The staff were very helpful, even when busy, tables we're cleaned very quickly, the food was really good and generous portions, good choice of deserts, cream teas were lovely, good menu whether you want a light snack or full meal.

After trying to get a table on Friday night with no reservation having no joy, we decided to book for Saturday night - this was the first mistake. Arrived on Saturday for our reserved table we were escorted to our table...that didn't exist. so we stood around while the staff had to move tables around, we were then left for... More

We visited with young children one evening and had no booking. There was however space outside that turned out to be great - with blankets supplied for this that get a little cold! Service was prompt and the food was very good, also a good selection for children. A very good stop off when visiting this charming little town.

Very lovely food - average meal is £15. Good seafood and lovely pasta. Be aware that it gets very busy so book!! Seriously! We arrived at about 5.45ish and or 6ish and they were struggling to find non-reserved places. And this was on a Thursday! We had tried on a Saturday night to get food but it was very full... More

For our first evening meal in Cornwall I did not know that restaurants generally stop serving food at 9:00pm which means everybody eats far earlier than I would normally! Obviously we arrived at peak time 7:30 so had to wait 20 minutes to get a drink and 40 minutes before the starters arrived. Saying that most people left soon after... More

We ate on a mid-week evening and we're lucky to get a table phoning at the last minute. We had calamari and Cornish crab pot to start both delicious, the calamari batter was very light so you could taste the squid. We then had catch of the day, fillets of locally caught fish and a fish special of turbot. Both... More

The Old Boatyard Wreckers restaurant is a lovely space with a high vaulted ceiling, tables separated by small partitions that echo 'sails'. Solid wood tables & comfy chairs. We ordered starters - scallops, seafood starter & hot crabpot. All were very tasty; there were 4-5 scallops, generous for a starter; the seafood had crab, prawns & crayfish with salad garnish.... Not that I've eaten in them all, but this is one of the best restaurants I've eaten in for a long time - not just Cornwall. Great harbour setting, attentive staff and a menu choice that offers something for everyone. The food itself is terrific and portions are large. Then the bill comes and you'll double check because they must... More

Located on the road down to the harbour with a spacious terrace to sit on if the weather is fine, we enjoyed a pleasant enough tea here. I can't say we ha a problem with slow service that others have mentioned, more relaxed and friendly. Ok, it's slightly more expensive than some given the location but the food was fine... More

Visited this restaurant for the second time with 6 other friends for a night out. Simply fantastic with great atmosphere and service. We will be back again soon and a must for seafood fans!!
