It's a wonderful start when you are welcome by one of the owners, part of a great team of a husband and wife operation. She is in kitchen, delivering a fantastic dish, one after another. We were with our kids who love clams. I cook clams myself in many different ways, but Nero di Seppia's clams had a peculiar, sweet... More

We were given this recommendation from Roberto, our fabulous concierge at the Grand Hotel Savoia. The restaurant was beyond our expectations . The decor was rustic, casual and cottage like. We had the tuna crude appetizer , pacceri with lobster and the Branzino. The staff ( I think the owner) was so helpful with recommendations . I would definitely return... More

We ate here twice February 2015. Once as a family of 3 and the second time with 3 friends who joined us for our 2nd ski week. They still talk about the excellent restaurant! We were looking forward to dining here again this year and booked as soon as we arrived. We were once again impressed by the food. We... More

Great change of food to contrast the Italian obsession with meat, especially cold cuts! The fish and seafood at Nero di Seppia were delicious and quickly served. We especially loved the mussels in tomato sauce!

When we arrived, the owner explained that he doesn't know unti that day what the best fish will be. So, there is no printed menu. We told him to bring us whatever he thought looked best in the kitchen. The seafood was extraordinary, especially for a restaurant 90km north of the Adriatic. We appreciated the personal attention to detail.

A fish restaurant in Cortina may sound odd ? Don't worry, just go and enjoy their specialities from the Adriatic sea, the charme of the place and the kindness of the passionate owner. Will surely go back. Ps: very good value for money!

During a recent visit to Cortina, I learned why Nero di seppia is the top-ranked restaurant in Cortina. It is simply wonderful. The entire dining experience was marvelous, starting with the owner explaining his recommendations, in Italian. Although we understood nary a word, his passion was manifest and we were gratified when we let him choose our meals. Each course... More

It was not a long stay in Cortina, but I'm glad we've chosen Nero di Sepiia for a dinner. This is a fish and seafood restaurant, very small (not to say tiny), with its owner talking to you and discussing the choice of food and wine. What we ordered for dinner was his choice of typical Veneto dishes perfectly cooked... More

The most troublesome thing about this place is getting there. Once you have found it, you'll be surrounded by a constant and chatty presence of its charming owner. Have your translator handy, because he speaks all the languages, as long as it's Italian. He'll tell you, he is from Venice and serves a typical cuisine of the region. I recommend... More

I and my boyfriend had decided to spend our last night in Cortina having a dinner at Nero di Seppia. First of all, the service was rather slow, but we did not let that bother us. Otherwise everything went okay until we received our bill. Actually it was not even a bill, but a print from a calculator. When we... More
