Cute little restaurant upstairs. Having read the previous reviews, maybe my expectations were too high. We went there for the cous cous: it was ok, but not something unforgettable, as I hoped. The risotto was not expresso (that in Italy means made from scratch). House wine just passable. Service very friendly.

I will be dreaming of this restaurant until I can visit Erice again....the appetizers, the pasta -- which was divine -- the coffee, and the dessert were my favorite!

Having arrived at our lovely B&B, Il Carmine, just before dark on Oct 24, we were wandering around the Erice streets looking for a place to eat that would be warm and have good food. We were delighted with this place. The waiter, who spoke English, advised us on the menu and we had a lovely dinner as well as... More

The place looks like a trattoria from the '70, with a nice rustic look. The appetizers were good, we tried a caponata and some stuffed sardines. The pasta with sardines was also great, while another one with local pesto wasn't really anything special. Now the bad: a large table of 12 completely randomized the staff. No coffee available, we were... More

We had lunch quite late a day full of tourists. The food was very good and the service excelent. It is a very big restaurant but with many small rooms so you do not feel people. To recommend

Great food, friendly service, excellent honeyed wine. Warm welcome. Full of Italians. Open till late. Recommend the squid and seafood pasta. Delicious aubergines and courgettes.

One of the best restaurant we have tried in Trapani and Erice. Both food and services were good. Price was reasonable too. Cannoli Siciliano, Busiate with Sardine and grilled squid are the must try items. The environment is classy and comfortable. The waiter can speak English and was helpful. Very nice!

I don't this restaurant welcomes tourists and I am not sure why they even have a restaurant in Erice with that perspective. Our group thought that all the food was average but the staff did not create an environment that felt like a place you wanted to eat. I would not go back for that reason.

Our primary purpose in going to restaurants is the food, followed by good service in a pleasant atmosphere. First, the food in our party of four was average at best, and in my case ( grilled swordfish ) was mediocre. The atmosphere was dull and the head waiter seems to believe that you are there at his discretion. Overall, not... More

Erice is a picturesque city, highly recommended as a day trip. We had a local pasta at this restaurant called busiate, which is very curly. It was served with pesto Trapanese, which was a fresh pesto made with cherry tomatoes and walnuts. Every other pesto I have ever was made with either basil or sun dried tomatoes. I have since...
