Now I know to find this Osteria I will most definitely come back. Very nice unpretentious little restaurant. Great staff and even though no set kids menu a good place for a family dinner (the chef fixed something outside the menu for our 5 year old and she loved it).

Recommended by out host it didn't disappoint. We went early and had to make some turns and ask to find the place. But once arrived we were warmly welcomed and sat outside in their little green terrace. They speak little english but we communicated with all means available and it was not problem. The menu is nice and the woman... More

I ate here in Feb. 2016 with my husband and two kids. So delicious -- serious cuisine prepared by people with expertise.

An impromptu stop for lunch was a pleasant surprise. Although the menu was varied we went with one of the daily specials, pasta ragu. The ragu was flavourful, possibly because there was some ground liver in it, and the pasta was cooked just so. A salad, desserts of fresh fruit and creme brule with white chocolate, bottled water and coffees... More

We had lunch in this local restaurant on Christmas Day. There were 13 of us and they coped well. We had some bruschetta to start with - three different types and each one was delicious. I particularly liked the one with pate on it. Some of us had the T bone steak which is a kilo and really has to... More

This small restaurant is located in a village in Val d' Aosta just opposite the Aosta town. The restaurant was introduced to me by a local as an authentic "tratoria" with fantastic food and great atmosphere and prices relatively low. All of the above were justified after my visit.

Tried their "bruschetta gargantua" which I can warmly recommend, pasta, plus a dish of rabbit pieces and they all pointed to a chef who knows what he is doing. Fine composition and feel for tastes, and just right size of portions. Pasta emphasized the pasta, not the sauce, which I personally prefer. If anything can be added to the robust... More

We were staying at a chalet just down the road, and ate here the first of the evenings we were not catered for. We enjoyed it so much we went again. The decor is quirky and the atmosphere is friendly, with lots of locals. They speak little English but do speak French as well as Italian and will also apparently... More

Excellent food and atmosphere. Small place with simple menu but everything was good. No English but the waitress was very helpful. We were lucky to arrive a little early for lunch as the place filled up. Worth looking for if in the area.

We pitched up late on our first night and were warmly welcomed despite our very limited Italian and their very limited English. Indeed they got fellow customers to translate the menu and the daily specials for us - really helpful and friendly! The food itself was really tasty with plenty to choose from and pretty good value.
