The place recommended for us was closed (well it was Ferr'Agosto) and after much hunting we found this place. It looked touristy but we were hungry and tired after a long cycle and walking up and won the city. Well, it really wasn't touristy, it was excellent. A fantastic Vino Nobile di Montepulciano was recommended (35 euros but we were... More

Nice small place with good traditional Tuscan food. Salads, pastas and dolci were really tasty. Nice service.

Marzocco hits all the right notes. Location, ambiance, quality. 10/10. The proprietors understand what it is and it shows. Fabulous.

I was loath to eat in such an obviously touristy place smack dab in the middle of Montepulciano. The service was very good and the food was even better. It was a surprisingly good meal. The pici was perfectly cooked 'al dente' and really flavorful.

Marzocco is a small trattoria based in the centre of Montepulciano which serves typical tuscan dishes such as ribollita or bean soup and pasta dishes such as pici with wild boar sauce plus some good meat dishes accompanyied by some nice red local wine. The service is very efficient and helpful and the tables are not too close. They also... More

We stopped here fearing it may be a tourist cafe with poor food but were pleased to be surprised. The cinghiali pici (wild boar with Sienese thick spaghetti) was very good as was the wine and dolce. The staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. We sat outside in the sunshine and real enjoyed ourselves. If it hadn't... More

We liked sitting outside this restaurant at 7.30pm. The waiter was charming and attentive. We ordered our meals & wine and were quite happy until the waitress arrived. No social skills whatsoever! We complained about our bread being stale and it was reluctantly changed but she was obviously not happy. However as we ate our meal we became aware that... More

very nice place to stop, savor the local food, and look around at the passers-by. Relaxing outdoor tables and chairs, shady, if you pick the right table for the time you are there.
