Small, very cozy & excellent place! Enormously friendly service. Great dishes, meat, fish and vegetarian. Great wine selection and artisanale beer from the region!

Let's start with the view. Ate on the terrace looking at lake trasimeno in the middle distance and the wineries in between down the hill. One of the best views from Montepulciano. Caters for gluten free diets and all items listed for allergies in the...More

Even with the extreme summer heat and no air conditioning we enjoyed our breakfast at Poliziano on the balcony. Good coffee, pastries and a lot of history.

Caffè Poliziano Historical Place of Italy. This spacious and elegant Caffè in the historical centre of Montepulciano is a fine example of Art Nouveau design. For generations visitors and local residents have been able to enjoi a glorious view of of the Valdichiana from the balcony. Distinguished guests have included Carducci, Pirandello, Prezzolini, Malaparte, Mario del Monaco, Giulietta Masina,Ornella Muti,, Mario monicelli, Marina Doria di Savoia, Enrico Rava, Mauro Bolognini, Giorgio Battistelli, Licia Colò.... In 1992 the Caffè was lovingly restored to its former glory. Federico Fellini, who visited the "Poliziano" soon after, considered the atmosphere and style to be worthy of a great Central European city such as Vienna or Prague.
