Not much more to add really other than we found the town itself lovely and relaxing without those odd people known as tourists. It felt so 'Italian'.

My friend ordered chicken on grilled radicchio with balsamic, very tasty and cooked to perfection. I ordered the fried calamari and it too was cooked well with very light batter and easy to eat. Fabulously relaxing with GREAT food! Service was wonderful and the surprise taste of the Tuscan dolce with sangiovese grapes was deluxe.

Best pizza in town. We tried Lunna Rossa but Il Duomo was simply better as the crust is perfectly "napolitana" but not too thin. Warm people, very reasonable pricing. A true gem.

We chanced on an outside table as the previous couple were just leaving. Friendly staff and menus arrived promptly. Drinks order taken and good house wine and water arrived quickly. The food was very good. My wife had her favourite pizza margarita and I had the seafood risotto. Slight downside was that my plate arrived a good five minutes before... More

We tried three different pizzas (while my youngest settled with french fries) and they all tasted great. Real value for money.

We took a day trip from Florence to the lovely Pistoia and had a mid-day meal at Il Duomo. It’s a very pleasant room in a small street just off the large Piazza Duomo – and it opens up in the back to several tables under umbrellas along the street behind. Our waiter delivered a basket of terrific breads. We... More
