Beautiful Italian atmosphere. The restaurant is ran by a family. Inside looks a bit cheesy, but has it's character and one can feel comfortable. But the most important, thrfood, in particular pesto is perfect. Simple and natural just has it all. Accompanied by a great wine tastes just perfect. The place itself is very different from so called "tourist spots"... More

Rustic, quirky, and fun. The 2 guys running the place had a feeling of faulty Towers but the meals came quick and simple. After 5 days of great food in Piedmont this was seashore basic with a rustic twist. The red house wine is not good. And cheap.

This was a wonderful local restaurant. The food portion was large, prices were good, and the food was fantastic. If you like local feel and experience, you'll be missing out if you don't go here. Try to reserve on a weekend.

Very local, very busy! And people seem to love it! But not for me! The choice of mains is limited to circa 6 dishes , its basic as food could come! Fairly good! Fair prices but just chaotic ! If your english or a fussy eater then maybe try lunch first rather then waste an evening dining experience. I felt... More

So... After getting the address the Guide Routard we decided to go... More of an experience than anything else. We had a great evening but more from the way the place was run than anything else. Don't come here expecting four star service or anything close. But for friendly convieality and a service that is truely winging it then it's... More

Looks like a typical trattoria and also dishes are from tradition (originally dishes of simple and inexpensive ingredients, now some of them have become gourmet food). Ask for the vegetable soup (Mesciuà or something similar) which is a lentil and beans soup. House wine is acceptable and cheap. Service is friendly

I slipped in to the Osteria on my first evening in Portovenere. I'd not had a proper lunch and it was really too early for dinner, but the sign outside states that they open around 5 pm, so I decided to try it. The waiter, after being a bit surprised by my early request for food, seemed happy to serve... More

This is a funny little place, where the menu is more similar to a Spanish tapas menu than a typical Italian restaurant (with primo, secondi etc) in that the menu is somewhat restricted and there is no indication of portion size. But it's such a friendly place, you just keep ordering 'til you're full. We had stuffed mussels, the testaroli,... More
