We had the tourist menu and enjoyed our meals. The seafood paella had a depth of flavour and plenty of seafood . The pasta with pesto was a generous serve. Yes the second plates were not huge, but after generous first plates we not concerned. The day we ate there was also table of local workers who came for lunch,... More

Always a good sign when a restaurant is packed. And for us, full of families. We had great service at La Taverna. All the staff were attentive and frequently checking that everything was alright. No issues with checking with the chef whether food could be changed regarding allergies. When the food came out it was fast and everything was hot... More

Service was somewhat indiferent. Feels like a tourists- only place. However, the fish was fresh and well prepared. Tourist menu was as well prepared as the dishes on the menu, so I would advise it for the hungry.

I spent 12 days in Porto Venere so I ate here three times. All my meals were pleasant although the highlight was the lunch with my daughter. I ordered the tourist meal with the seafood linguini and the fresh grilled fish. It was quite a value. The salad was boring and a disappointment. My daughter is gluten free so she... More

Husband and I both had fish and seafood, while it was fresh and tasted good, the portions were ridiculously small. The side dish which was supposed to be oven baked veggies literally included the following: 2 slices of eggplant and slice of burnt red pepper. Salad also consisted of three lettuce leaves and a quarter of chopped tomato. Maybe even... More

Guys with great regret I write this but the whole point of TA is to write a truthful and actual summary of experiences, that's why TA is a great resource site! However we made a special bee line for the area as we were were staying in the area for its beauty and wonderful culinary delights. From our Cinque Terre(amazing) boat... More

Of all the places we ate at in our 12 day stay, this was the most disappointing. On certain days, seemed to be a Monday or Tuesday, some restaurants in Portovenere seem to take turns in closing and on one of those days we visited La Taverna Di Venere. My steak was possibly one of the worst I have ever... More

We did not have a good experience at this restaurant. Although the menu looks good, the food was poor quality : risotto was rice, plate where half empty, house wine was sparkly and barely drinkable. Fried calamaries were not too bad though. The dinning was freezing cold. They charge us 2 times a quarters of litter instead of half a... More
