Awesome!food is excellent, hosts very friendly and nice.. If you want to taste real Umbria food in a quite and relaxing environment, this restaurant deserves a try!!scrambled eggs with tartufo is a must!!
I can't decide whether Osteria or Tempio del Gusto is my favorite restaurant in Spoleto. Both are excellent, with delicious choices and 5 star preparation. What a great two days in this little-known town!
Quirky little Osteria (Inn) just 20 mins on E45 north of Terni. Service was good, and as soon as the place filled up with families with 3 and even 4 generations we knew it might be special. This was really h onest traditional local cooking...at its best.
Never needs to decorate as people sign in on the plaster walls.
Very good carafe red.
Pricing unreasonably reasonable.More
We visited this restaurant after reading the reviews expecting something really outstanding but, although the food was good, it was not exceptional and there are other, better, restaurants in Spoleto. The eccentricity mentioned in several reviews does appear rather contrived and not what I'd describe...as eccentric. A good place to try once out of interest.More
Osteria Del Tempo Perso is one of the best meals I have ever had in Europe. It is not a fancy restaurant or one geared for tourists. It is great food from owners who care and want to make you feel at home in a...beautiful setting on the outskirts of Spoleto.
The food is local cuisine, all of which is or certainly seems to be homemade. The staff speak some English and are honoured to have people from out of town at their restaurant. The value is also unreal. We had an excellent meal (without wine, but with dessert) for under 50 euro. We could have easily paid double for this meal elsewhere.
I would return to Spoleto just to go back to Osteria Del Tempo Perso.More
It's a bit far from the city and you can reach it only by car, but it's a good choice.
The staff is very kind and they also inform you if there's anything out of the menu. For example, that night they have prepared a...typical local dish: scrambled eggs with asparagus (you're not able to find asparagus everytime).
Obviously, we tasted some cheese and salumi, as appetizer, and they were ok.
We also tried pasta with truffle (another typical product) and it was very good.
I'd go there again with very pleasure, next time.More
