This place does itself no favours in making itself known. It is tucked away down an ally opposite the Duomo and you are not likely to spot it unless you know it is there. We arrived as the owner/chef arrived to open for dinner and apologised for being a bit early and did not receive a cordial welcome but was... More

Wow. I have eaten a lot of truffles and mushrooms in my day, and when I'm in Umbria I eat little else (why would you?), but this preparation is my favorite yet. It is perfection. I ate here at least 3 or 4 times in a week, and only one time did I have anything less than great service, and... More

La Mangiatoia is unassuming from the outside; the interior offers a romantic arched brick ceiling and a small dining room. Last summer, they had an amazing courtyard for outside dining...here's hoping they do that again this year! The food is always delicious, and the service is friendly.

The food is delicious: a combination of the best traditions of authentic Italian cooking with creative use of locally resourced materials and mastery of methods. Delicious! Formal but welcoming, un-snobbish and relaxed style. .Attentive, caring and helpful service. Occasionally, a wonderfully quiet restaurant with, (thank goodness!) no background music , Background music makes me quit a restaurant very quickly -... More

Location is a little tucked away down an alley off the main square in Todi. We ate in the historic area just across from the main restaurant, very beautiful, relaxing, atmospheric. Food excellent, service charming, would definitely recommend

As it was one of the few restaurants open at lunch on a Monday, this was almost an obliged move, with all the risks usually related to such situations, but actually it turned out to be a great one! Located in one of the alleys flowing into the beautiful (and very calm, on Monday morning) Piazza del Popolo, I has... More

Although we know Todi well, this was not a restaurant that we had eaten in before. Recommended by friends and we were not disappointed. Good value, freshly cooked food with friendly and efficient service. Highly recommended.

The fixed price meal of the day was terrific. Nice options and plenty of food. The staff was very accommodating even going so far as to prepare a food order to go for an unwell family member back at the hotel. Nice folks!

Great home cooked food. Good atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Good service. Wished they had softer music or classical music to fit the location instead of pop music. That would have enhanced the experience. They were gracious and lowered it for us.

Thank kdeats
