You must get one pizza apiece!! They are so good and thin that it is easy to eat a whole pizza. They are only open for dinner and they don't open until 7pm but it's worth the wait :)

Be ready friends. After having you pizza in Il Monastero , it will be very hard for you to find a better pizza anymore. A lovely pizzeria with authentic design , delicious pizzas but i strongly recommend carpaccio for everyone. Prices , do not think about it. They will never hurt you.

Back when I was a student we used to love eating the enormous double pizzas here, and not much has changed over the years! I like the four cheese one especially, and you can see the value for money has not changed much, from the days of the lira into the days of the Euro.

Really popular with the locals this cheap and cheerful pizzeria in the old quarter of Viterbo specialises in a 2 plate pizza so you can mix and match your favourite combo's. You can't book so be prepared to wait for a table, the al fresco tables in particular are very busy in summer. Not the best pizza in Italy but... More

Hands down the best pizza in town! If authentic Italian style pizza is what you are looking for, look no further and make room for 2 plates to hold your pizza!

The queues are so long just to get a table and it's not worth the wait The pizzas are the size of two which is good to try as a tourist as it's a bit of a novelty The pizzas aren't bad but certainly nothing special Good quality price as it's very cheap Beer is on draft House wine is... More

My friends and I consider “Il Monastero” one of the best, if not the best, pizza place in Viterbo. When the season and the weather allow it, there is also a veranda with tables outside looking on to the square where is the Romanesque church of Santa Maria Nuova and its external pulpit from where, in 1267, Saint Thomas Aquinas... Huge pizza served on on two plates, the crust is perfectly thin, light and delicious, this is one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Very casual rustic place with low prices. Always full but definitely worth the wait. I recommend half boscaiola and half rustica just amazing.
