We shared a delicious roasted wild boar roasted to perfection. Great service. Recommended. Well worth the detour. Sit outdoors and you will be given a shawl to keep you warm.

We paid a return visit to Le Refuge today. As before we had a charming welcome and the food was good with generous portions. It really was Le Refuge today, as the weather was dreadful, and we arrived in pouring rain. The downside of the journey up into the forest on a day like today is that the beautiful views... More

Don't stint -- try the piglet! Pleasant outside terrace and very friendly and helpful staff. A memorable lunch.

About 20Km North of Porto-Vecchio. Local products (Pork specialty) veery well cooked in a mountain ambiance, surrounded by the Ospedale forest, with fresh air and nice service.

Wow! I don't know where to start with this review. We had such an amazing time here, it really blew us away and was completely unexpected. We'd started hiking the Mare a Mare Sud trail the day we arrived in Cartalavonu and were soaked by the pouring rain we'd encountered. When we got to le Refuge, all our gear and... More

Stayed here fairly at the end of the season, so everything should rather be regarded under the focus, what is still done then. And we can clearly say: we were very well received. Friendly personnel, excellent dinner (home cooked wild boar). Although there were only four guests, all this effort was made. Also the lunch packages were delicious. Only small... More

We had the worst stay at this last Gite d'Etape here on our Mare a Mare trip this September. Prizes are pretty high compared to other stays, the food was too little and not very great (lasagna tasted like convenience food) and we watched as they rebottled wine from plastic canisters into glass bottles for the table. At reception the... More

We went here on a hiking trip. First we ordered something to drink, and the glasses were very dirty - that enough for me, this place should be avoided. And furthermore there was a large dog running around in the restaurant

We were recommended to visit this restaurant on top of a mountain. It was raining that day and figured this would be a great excursion. Glad we went - there was a hot fire in the fireplace when we arrived and really great Corsican food. I had the specialty of pork with the skin - it was wonderful. My friends... More
