We were stopping over in the Ibis Hotel and Le Bistrot was 2 minutes away. We went for the 22 Euros menu which had a choice for each course. We went for seafood as love it. The meal was excellent, service superb and a reasonable price. Just what we were looking for. Everying was cooked fresh and the bread was... More

My husband and I were somehow unaware of a long weekend which made booking a table in Roscoff, on a Saturday evening, next to impossible, so Bistrot de la Mer was not our first choice. We ordered oyster on the half shell (tasty but beware very salty, as most oysters here are "pleine mer" and a grilled blue lobster. Le... More

Excellent dinner in cosy restaurant. The staff were helpful and efficient, we had the three house smoked fish which were delicate and lovely, great home made rolls and a superb wine. Then a delicate sole meunière and an assiette chard of seafood - mussels, scallops, prawns and langoutines- superb. Followed by the home made kouign Amman. Lovely evening

This is a small, popular restaurant and you probably won't get a table on the off-chance and so better to book. The house-smoked fish trio was particularly delicious and the bread equally so! Non-pretentious cooking with quality ingredients and good value for money! I would say, include a visit here if you are in Roscoff and you won't be disappointed!

We visited this restaurant on our first night in Roscoff by recommendation from our hotel. Suffice to say that on departing that night we re-booked for our last night 9 days later. Our experience both times with the food was excellent, the chef smokes his own food and bakes his own bread as well as cooking the main meals and... More

Had memorable meal here. Becky chose the onion soup which was really tasty. I had mussels in Roquefort which is one of the best tasting meals I have ever had and we eat out fairly often! In addition it was clear that the chef cared considerably and we couldn't recommend it highly enough

We went out for a dinner at Le Bistrot de la Mer, we thought that the food was excellent and beautifully presented but perhaps not suited to families with very small children. We took our 5yr old and 18month old daughters and the baby has really Struggled to sit still and wasn't able to have a run around.

My wife and I took a night out at "Le Bistrot de la Mar". It's located in a hotel "Les Chardons Bleus" which is on a cozy street in the center of Roscoff. Those looking for a view of the water may want to pick an alternate restaurant. We found the food to be exceptional. My wife took the fruits... More

Make sure you book your table at least one day in advance, it's busy and the food quality underlines why. Not a cheap place to eat but a reasonable variety of plates on the seafood focuses menu. Seafood we had was cooked to perfection.....not much else to say !

My wife is not a great seafood fan. She will not attempt shellfish. So to visit a Breton eatery specialising in seafood might be pushing things a bit too far. But her fish soup for starters augured well while I settled for a plate of Whelks. Her main of Pollack was only surpassed by my Chouxcroute de la mer which... More
