This place has a good location, however the food was poor and service left a lot to be desired. Our son was unhappy with his dish and wasn't made feel as if it was ok to complain. The prices are quite high also. I would avoid this place.

This may have been a real classic!! But that was long in the past.. It is quite a number of years since we ate in this place. At one time it was just buzzing & bustling with energy.. Now it's very tired, & dated.. & serving food that is 'just OK' .. We both had brochette, duck & house special... More

Food excellent. Kebabs are a must and try the monk fish. Great views. Service can be a bit slow, but this restaurant is very busy as so popular.

We first visited Komodo in 2007 & we had a lovely time, so much so that we revisited. When we realised it was still open, 8 years on, we jumped at the opportunity. Still the same eye catching brochettes but some questionable cooking as some things were undercooked & a little tasteless too. Definite feel that they just wanted to... More

We did have a long wait for a table nearly a hour but it was well worth waiting for. The Kebabs served on long skewers on a rack were amazing . So many different ones too choose from including veal kangaroo !!! and even a vegetarian one for my Veggie daughter. It was a great experiencing and we can not... More

Don't just look at the reviews on Tripadviser - it would be a good idea to look at that the written views in the "comments book" at the Tourist Centre at Argelès-sur-Mer - the most recent entry has the word "terrible" in BLOCK latters which is a bad result whether it is stated English or French! What is clear is... More

The grilled meat we had at dinner (brochettes) had been grilled a couple of times: hard to cut/chew/swallow. The sauces were "from the Tube". Very disappointing for the price they charge.

Nothing fresh really in that restaurant. All the fish they serve is unfrozen and you won't know where the fish came from. French fries fast are industrial. Waiters grabbing customers in the street, and then push you to eat fast so that you can leave and be replaced.

Walking along the beach promenade one sunny afternoon, we were approached by the owner of Komodo, beseeching us to come in for lunch. We had already eaten, but his enthusiasm and friendly manner led us to dine there a few days later. The Brazilian-style "hanging" meats were excellent; we had the variety sampler. The atmosphere of the semi-open patio fronting... More

Tried the Komodo after a few good reports from the English staff on our campsite. We were very dissapointed with the whole experience after only recieving parts of each meal over a 45 minute period and one meal not coming out at all we asked to see the manager and was ushered to the bar where we waited a further...
