It's an exciting drive up to this restaurant using narrow tracks with hairpins but the views when you get there are magnificent. In summer you can sit outside on the veranda and take in the panorama. My wife and I went for lunch with friends and it was great. A surprising number of people make the trek up to the... More

Yet another wonderful lunch with friends, excellent food, 1st class service as always. Thank you Laura for looking after us. Amazing setting, with incredible views. Well worth the drive up from St Genis Des Fontaines. Can't recommend this highly enough.

Came up here to escape heat from on the coast. Host very welcoming and showed us the walks we could take before lunch. Views across the area fantastic. Lunch was excellent, service good, not to slow but not rushed either. Would visit again. Drive up and down was quite challenging, thankfully only met traffic coming other way at passing places!

Stayed there during GR10 walk - last night before finishing. Young and hippy staff who prepared amazing dinner! The room (for three) was very small - 1 bunk bed, 1 single bed, quite claustrophobic, but overall ok. Good shower. The dinner was individually served. Very interesting interior of the restaurant and amazing view over Canigou! Amazing finish to GR10!

At the end of a tortuous rather longish ( 30- 40 min) car drive from Le Perthus or from St Jean d'Alberes, one finds this little chalet with an excellent carte, very good food and friendly prompt service. Magnificent view of the mountains from the terrace. A beautiful walk " decouverte " where mobility challenged people can easily enjoy the... More

This was our final stopover during our complete traverse of the Pyrenees from the Atlantic to Mediterranean coasts. The accommodation was good and the food in the restaurant excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly, plus in awe of our achievement being both 65+ year olds. Fully recommended for walkers, or a drive up to sample the excellent food.... More

The view is worth the worry. The mountain cows direct you to the very welcoming chalet, and if you haven't booked , like we hadn't, the relief of getting a view side table made it a top place before eating. And the eating was good too. In my opinion ,starters better than the mains, but all good.

A fairly basic restaurant popular with walkers but don't let this out you off. Traditional food, good sized portions and inexpensive house wine. Deserts especially good. We went for dinner but think would have been better at lunch time when could have enjoyed the view. Meal for five people, two courses each with wine and water was euro 130. Make... More

I love this place. Perfect for a walk followed by a nice meal or just a nice meal looking over the Pyrennees. I've been many times and always recommend it.

I know I said it twice but this little chalet restaurant has such an amazing view out over the Pyrenees I can't stress it enough. It is a small wooden chalet with a cosy indoor bar section and a small terrace (with the stunning views). It has a large car park and is on the GR10 walk so popular with... More
