Get up. Amble to the sunny main square. Order two cafes au lait and two croissants. Breakfast is that simple - and that delicious. People watching is obligatory - and locals will nod and say hello - and the coffee is good, the croissants better than good: morning sorted! It's a must do for us, and while I wouldn't want... More

This corner cafe is situated in the heart of Villenueve les Avignon, on a beautiful and quite Square bustling with local activity. The peaceful Porvencal life is at its best here. Breakfast is without comparison, simple and honest. Great coffee, orange juice, pastries, etc. Service is very friendly. Highly recommended.

We stopped for a coffee and cake at this tiny cafe and were very pleasantly surprised. Great service, excellent selection of patisseries and you can relax with coffee or tea. The hostess spoke reasonable English and that made things a bit easier though there was no suggestion the cafe was Anglicised - a real French experience.

I had a coffee and a pain au chocolat today morning at this small coffee shop in a beautiful square in Villeneuve les Avignon. I sat in the terrace. The guy that looked like the owner asked me what I wanted. After waiting for 15 minutes, the lady that looked like his wife asked me again what I wanted and... More

good coffee, croissants and pain au chocolate. Welcoming staff who by day 3 know your order off by heart and by day 4 pat you on the back by way of welcome.

My favorite breakfast spot! The french pastries are delicious, the coffee is hot and strong, and the chocolat chaud is perfect. The wonderful staff is warm and welcoming and sitting in the square is just the perfect way to start your day en Provence.

Lovely croissant and pain au chocolat and very good coffee. Service is very friendly with the man moving the canopy to make sure we were shaded in the baking sun.

Freshly made croissants and friendly owners. Looked after the dog too with fresh water. No morning sun but plenty warm.
