We went for 19euros menu which was excellent value. Good portion sizes and lovely fresh cod for main. Service was not good though. Our wine was forgotten and there was a long wait. It's fine if you have plenty of time and want to pace yourself between the various courses. Nice tasty food and good value.

We've not been to the restaurant for a couple of years, it was just as we remembered it absolutey excellent, the food is amazing so flavoursome and the steaks cooked perfectly, we had the €19.80 menu a huge amount of food (couldn't eat it all) and very well presented the staff really lovely and all the little extras make a... We ordered the crispy langoustine and Pate de Foie Gras for Starters, the Pate was fine, but the cripsy langoustine was two pieces of langoustine and some grated carrot encased in filo pastry which had been fried, except it had probably been reheated more than once, the langoustine pieces were hard as bricks and the whole dish inedible. I complained... More

The first two courses of this meal were outstanding, it was such a shame that the main course let it down. Neither of us could eat the brag, as it was far too tough. When we pointed this out to the waiter, he just shrugged his shoulders. Also one waiter for about 30 people is not a good idea.

The 12 euro lunch was actually quite a treat! Appetiser was a verrine of crab mayonnaise, and a nice white fish rillette, with slices of very fresh soft bread. I chose (from 3 items) the cod loin with ratatouille, a lovely piece of perfectly cooked skinless fish on a bed of good flavoured veg, plus a cheese topped tomato slice,... More

Nice place. Good menu choice which majors on traditional more rural or country type fare (Rooster!) which made a pleasant change from the norm. Good service. Shame everything came with fries though. Nice ambiance and décor, complete with slightly grumpy very French waiter (Which we kind of liked!)

This establishment is one of many in the Place d'Armes, but is distinguished by the quality of traditional French cooking on offer. The service is attentive, the portions generous and the flavours superb. Excellent value for money.

People don't do booze cruises anymore, as the Eurostar has made transport across the Channel easier, but a day out from south-east England on the cross-channel ferry gives you plenty of time for a lovely lunch in Calais. Alas, the boats don't go to Boulogne anymore (which is a much prettier city), but Calais can still provide a lovely lunch,... More

Three course menu starting from about €20. The food is original, but lacks taste. The service is good.

Fries soak with oil-not to eat ,staff-trying hard - so sorry for him sweating man. Only the wine was good and starter Camembert not bad. We skipped the dessert after the main course because we were not quite happy what they served us
