Very bad food. Overcooked duck, very strange looking & smelling potato-gratin & wet salad without sauce. 4 out of 7 people didn't finish their meal. On the other hand the pizzas which were ordered we're good. The waitress is pretty confused & doesn't seem to have much experience as a waitress. Definetley not going there again.

We are unfortunate enough to look for a dining place in Cassis on the night of 14th of August. Why unfortunate? Because there were too many people n Cassis and you don't actually chose the place where you will dine - you simply go to the restaurant that there are still free tables. As a result, our sole dining option... More

We came here for a quick bite and were definitely not expecting haute cuisine. But the food was barely edible. Even the pizza's were bad, part burnt part undercooked. Very friendly staff though.

Well, the owner/cook was very friendly and it was fun to hear about his stories. Seafood he used was excellent but pizza was not fully baked.

Tiny restaurant in one of the attractive backstreets of Cassis. Found it by accident because it had a table available and we were weary. We enjoyed it so much we went back again. Good food at reasonable price, very cheap house wine and great informal but courteous service.

We are out a umber of times in Cassis, including at higher-end places, but this was our favorite! Fabulous pizza and fresh (caught that day) fish roasted in the wood-fired oven that is open to the intimate dining room. This is a friendly and social place, with guests chatting with each other and the chef, people passing food down the... More

Most restaurants late on this cool February Monday were ferme but we luckily stumbled upon Fringale. It has 8 tightly-squeezed tables for 2 and Marcel presides from his tiny counter in front of his fiery pizza oven. The other 4 diners were from Nice and knew Marcel but included us immediately in the spirited conversation, even allowing for our feeble... More

Nice "feu de bois" but very bad pizzas. Soft and without any taste. Small stones in the salad because it wasn't washed proporly. And no payment with créditcard. Don't go there.

From the moment we entered the pizzeria Marcel (the chef) made us smile with his jokes. Other local guests and the waitress were also super nice. We had a feeling of being invited to Marcel's living room, with a large pizza oven on the back wall. And the pizzas - one word - amazing! Crusty base and lots of cheese.... More

Description
This is a tiny Pizza place in Cassis that serves pizzas made in a wood burning oven. It appears, for the most part, to be a one man operation, as well as a server and a dishwasher. It is the best pizza I have ever had in my life. You won't find it on a website and it is down a pedestrian only street in Cassis (on the corner of Rue Lamartine and Rue Docteur Severn Icard).
