this resto is not only about food, most local for the day, to eat and a few hours on the pool side. the restaurant is highly acclaimed with multiple awards as for the resto food, this is a pretty good place. I had melted goat cheese on salad and even though it was good, it did not reach the excellence... More

Very much in the middle of nowhere and a half, but extremely worthwhile a visit. It lies on a ridge overlooking the coast and is quite a modest restaurant but with great facilities, outdoor dining, a generous pool, a serviceable tennis court and a wonderful view of the islands. Unique location, very special. It is on the ridge acessible either... More

We had spent the morning cycling up the hill from le Lavandou via Borme. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our table in the covered outdoor area. The view over the hills and down to the coast was spectacular. The fixed price menu had some great choices - we chose a half pizza for a starter, followed... More

When in the area I always make a visit to le relais du vieux Sauvaire and have never been disappointed. We usually arrive from the direction of La Mole and the scenery on the way up is stunning. After the chic restaurants of St Tropez, this cosy family run restaurant is a welcome change. Very good traditional pizza's and other... More

This summer we had the pleasure to eat at this nice place twice. The setting of this place is really nice, placed high on a mountain ridge (some 450 meter) overlooking the sea and the islands. I will recommend taking the long and winding road from Bormes les Mimosas as it gives some really nice views of the coast and... More

Pizza's just aren't my thing but I'll beat a path up the Col de Canadel anytime to go have a pizza provencale at the Vieux Sauvaire on the "cretes" between Le Rayol-Canadel and Bormes-les-Mimosas. Only open during the summer season, the view of the Isles d'Or is spectacular and if you're eating there, you're welcome to use their pool before... More

This is more than a restaurant. Pizza and fish as good as you will ever find on earth. Deserts inc baked alaska and apple pie home made delights. Kids can take a swim or play tennis or jusr run around while you take your time to feast on the food and views you normally see from a light aircraft. On... More
