We wanted a good lunch on a hot day. Fresh, local ingredients and a nice atmosphere. We got this and more. Courteous, efficient service, excellent fish dishes. The sort of experience we find hard to get at home

... otherwise good food and nice service. There are plenty of restaurants in the area serving the same menu with different prices. One would chose specifically this restaurant for the quality of the service and the atmosphere.

Rough Guide recommended this but guide a little out of date. However not disappointed. Very good value prix fixe menu for 18 euros, with good choice of fish or meat dishes. Excellent fish soup to start with rouille and cheese/ toast topping to add. Fish of the day with rice and ratatouille was fresh and delicious. Puddings - good choice... More

A refuge for lunch on a very hot day. We were made welcome, local dishes were explained (we hadn't met tellines before and they were very good with aioli) and we had an excellent light lunch, overlooking the Med in a shaded terrasse. Appears to be a family operation, they were very friendly.

Le Brûleur de Loups is a family-owned restaurant by the beach in the tourist resort of Saintes-Maires-de-la-Mer. We ventured there primarily to see the sacred church which was once the third most sacred site in Christianity. The town is dedicated to tourists and pilgrims, and also arena games with bulls and horses. There are many, many restaurants, but this one... More

The Church in the centre of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, at the heart of La Camargue, contains the statue of “Black Sarah”. This saint is venerated by Romany Gypsies, who gather here every year (May 24-25) for a religious festival. And as luck would have it, Peter and I managed to be in Saintes Maries de la Mer on the first day of... More

I ate here with my family including 2 kids. The service is lovely, personal and attentive, even to tourists who don't speak great French eating the very good value menus rather than a la carte. The kids menu (11€) is smaller portions of adult main course but otherwise entree and dessert dishes from the adult menu which is a nice... More
