We've had such great meals in France for reasonable prices that ordinary restaurants seem - well, ordinary. The food was ok and the service was very good - it just wasn't what we've become used to in France. If you are hungry and want food to satisfy your hunger - it's perfectly ok. If you want something special like only... More

We have been eating here with family and friends since 10 years back during our vacations. It's a must on our busy schedule. Try to be early to ensure a table on the terrace surrounded by historical buildings and the La Citadelle XIII century. A must to visit

One of the more expensive restaurants in Sisteron, but simply put, the best steak we had in out whole 2 week trip around France without a doubt. The other half used to be a Butcher, so knows about meat and he was blown away by it. Served with delicious dauphinois potatoes with beautiful Roquefort sauce, we actually came back a... More

It's always risky, writing a review. One man's meat, etc... Let's just say that the food is 'entirety average' and leave it at that. However it must be said (it must, it must) that I witnessed something here that I've never seen before. There was a large party in the restaurant having a set menu. One of the waiters came... More

We had a nice lunch in the hour our tour allotted in Sisteron at Restaurant du Cours - beef filet with nice bread from the area plus a 1/2 bottle Beaujolais Villages red wine for my husband while I had the plat du jour of duck in mushroom sauce (great!). Both of us had dessert - raspberry topped cream cake.... More

I enjoyed the food and the choice on the menu. The actual presentation / look of the food on the plate didn't do the taste justice.

Attached to the Grand Hotel du Cours, this restaurant provides typical fare from the region, including the famed Cisteron lamb.We ate there once and I chose the lamb, which tasted very good. Presented in a provincial style (not minimalist) it invited a relaxed 'attack' and was lubricated with some nice Rhone Valley red wine. Service was attentive, but not over... More

Terrace next to one of the main streets in the town center, we got a ittle table, but the service was not very friendly, food was ok, but nothing special, they were not very happy and helpful with adapting to my allergy problems. Sorry, service could definitely be better..
