The Globe Cafe & Tapas Bar is your typical alpine restaurant. It has a very cozy décor making it a wonderful place to come in out of the snow relax with a bottle of wine or a meal. Alex, the head chef, makes a spectacular...pizza among other delicious dishes. The staff are warm and welcoming and Amber made us feel right at home. Outside there was a crazy sausage sizzle going on called Hip Hop and Hotdogs. It is perfectly located in the center of the village and a perfect place to relax and unwind for lunch or dinner or just a quiet drink with friends or loved ones.More

We went last year and felt the menu lacking. So we left and went to a different restaurant. This year because we love Big White we thought “Let’s try it this year.” NEVER AGAIN. For lunch 5 options and none of which appealed to us....The waitress Constance should probably look for a different line of work. She clearly does not want to be there. The table next to us left for the same reason. Eggs Benedict is awesome for breakfast but not for a 12:30 pm lunch. We will try again in about 4 years.More

Hello I am sorry you didn't enjoy Brunch. It's a common food service. You could have ordered a number of wonderful brunch items, or dined somewhere else during brunch hours

Our group of 6 were hoping to have some Tapas for lunch we arrived at 12.15pm. We waited at the entry counter for about 15 minutes while one of waiters took the same amount of time collecting individual bills from a table of 8. We...were then taken to a table and we found out on the menu, tapas doesn't start until 2, all we were offered were a number of egg dishes. After waiting a long time for your dishes to arrive, I asked the waiter to check, she then delivered 4 of the 6 meals to the table. We then waited another 10 minutes for the other 2 to arrive. The meals were quite basis and just okay. To the waiter's credit she removed 2 meals from the bill without us saying anything.More

This is a cute restaurant that is terrific for families and couples alike. Great atmosphere, good service and excellent food. The pasta and pizza were top notch. If we ever return to Big White, we’d like to go back to Globe and try the tapas.

Arrived at 12:30 and there’s a 45 min wait for a table. By 13:45 there are several tables available and the mad lunch time rush is over. Food is okay and tasty Nd the pricing is fine. Unfortunately the mad American TIP disease has landed...at Big White … when you pay your bill the options are 18.5, 20 or 25% as a tip and thats rediculous as service is slow because they are busy. No one is doing anything other than the normal service so where they get this tip scale from I don’t know. It’s a shame because good service should be rewarded but now you’re basically paying their wages and the restaurant doesn’t increase their wages … starting to see why so many people turn up on the mountain with their own foods. Still … this place is still better than the rest of them and they all server the same sort of fare.More

We couldn’t fault any dish. Too much food and we had to resort to doggy bags as the food just could not be wasted. The portions beat us but the quality was superb.

Great Après-ski experience with Live entertainment. We started with a cocktail, a nicely chilled Chardonnay, then a Chenin Blanc and a Pinot Noir. The wines were presented in beautiful RIEDEL wine-glasses which enhances the wine-taste big time. Nam, our very friendly waiter, guided us to...build our charcuterie board with Tirol speck, Spanish Chorizo, Ahi Tuna, Camembert, grilled portabella and two spreads with spinach, artichoke and garlic. This creation did taste fantastic especially with the skillet bread. And we liked the atmosphere.More

One of the few restaurants on the hill not owned and operated by the Big White conglomerate, this cozy yet very central establishment has a different vibe from everything else BW... a good vibe. Like, chill, relaxed, low key, casual, homey type of vibe. We...spent hours on the coffee shop side (on the right when entering) so cannot comment on the restaurant side. Our breakfast was done well if you like the following: very crispy 3 or 4 rashes of bacon, sourdough bread (no other option) and large chunks of potato hash (not the puny store bought kind). Eggs are done to your specs so cannot go wrong there. Service was friendly and up to par and the atmosphere was warm and cozy... hence our 3 hour breakfast. Coffee kept coming and the baked goods were available to purchase piecemeal. Price is resort average so don't expect any deals but once in a while I feel like I would rather support the local small businesses anyway... Big White has enough of our money. 4 stars.More

Having had an excellent experience last year, we were keen to return with friends to have dinner at the globe this year. The evening was marred by the fact that my 24 year old son, despite having photo ID (driving licence) and verification from his...parents that the ID was his, was not allowed a glass of wine. Having been to a number of other restaurants at Big White this week, we had not encountered such puritanical restrictions. Clearly the Globe must have a poor reputation for under age drinking. Needless to say we will not be returning.More

I've never been a tapas fan, so read this with that in mind. We arrived for supper with kids and grandkids. Monday nights kids eat free, so consider a reservation if you go. A variety of tapas was ordered and the kids loved the food....The patatas bravas, Korean cauliflower, bison meatballs and Italian meatballs were the favourites. Even my wife who dislikes potatoes liked the Patatas, cauliflower was a big hit as well. The kids had the s'mores for dessert and they were a big hit. Service was very good, dishes hot and well timed. Atmosphere was nice and laid back. Still not a tapas convert,, nothing to do with the restaurant.More

The average for a Tapas dinner with wine would be $30-$50 per person... Apologies for the huge delay in the response but this notification has only just popped up!!
