A unique place to eat. We had a great lunch in the castle. Service was great and the wines too. Everything very nicely decorated.

Really good restaurant and excellent service. My wife had the rabbit and it was really good and very well cooked. I had the fish which was also great. The meals at the other tables looked just as good. They also gave us a complimentary wild...More

The Burghotel is imaginative, elegant, and staffed with hospitality professionals. A stay is a memorable experience from selecting your room in advance to exploring the numerous reading nooks and pastime amusements in the private castle gardens. TIP: plan for ample time to explore the surroundings...More

We wanted to stay at their hotel, but by the time we were ready to book there were no rooms available. We decided to have dinner there and were not disappointed. Good food and service, nice decor. Wonderful wine. It was not that hot outside,...More

Just don't bother. Some staff were so rude. Table was dirty with dust/dirt. Overpriced. Slow service , worst I have ever had in Germany. Woman who works in the museum is the rudest that I have ever met.

Not very authentic, one of the most disappointing meals we had. Duck was very tough. Deer was good. Service was extremely slow.

This place is about as real as it can get. Yes they still wear some period dress that gives it a bit more Disney than it needs, but this is a truly memorable place in a wonderful town, with unique grounds, fantastic views. Visit or...More

The hotel and restaurant are both simply spectacular. Visited with my kids, my sister and her kids, and our parents. The kids loved the idea of 'sleeping in a castle' and were enchanted all night and the next morning exploring the museum (must see for...More

My brother was in town so we took a drive along the Rhine to view the many castles. Along our route we stopped at Schönburg Castle for lunch. I must say it was the perfect stop, and now I am planning on taking my wife...More

I have only had dinners there. Was there 2 different years. I would say the meals are a little more then a normal restaurant in that area. But the castle and the views make up for it.

It is an elegant place so I think is appropriate to dress nicely,i.e. a pair of slacks (not jeans) or a skirt/dress for women. Men need not wear a tie. People come here for special occasions so you want to look presentable.
