Seeing the small town of Cuxhaven in the north of Germany you would never expect such a high class Italian restaurant. You notice immediately that the owners put a lot of thought in the presentation of the food and keeping it traditional Italian. We tried a bit of everything and we must say the food and the experience was excellent and really recommend checking it out. Without the doubt the best restaurant in Cuxhaven. Only small critique is in the truffle Pasta, which was enhanced with truffle oil or butter, but can be excused cause it was off season for truffle. Though stillt would rate it 5/5 and will be coming back for sure.

We had a great event here. Although the restaurant looks a bit like a wine shop on the outside, the atmosphere inside is wonderful. And both food and drinks, service, advice and background music: all of this is offered here with that certain something, but also finely coordinated. At the same time, importance is attached to incorporating products from the family into the ambience. Thank you very much for that, we are full of gratitude for everything we were able to experience in this small restaurant. Keep it up!

Everything is just right here: stylish furnishings with character, friendly and professional service, super tasty food, delicious drinks to accompany it and pleasant music. If you fancy high-quality Italian dishes beyond the usual pizza and pasta menus, this is the place for you. Each dish had its own twist, whether it was the very lemony mascarpone sauce with the pasta, the dash of the restaurant's own olive oil with the dessert or the very smooth barrique grappa to finish. You can tell that it is important to the team that the guests feel completely at home - and they completely succeeded in doing that with us!

After the last visit wasn't a success, we gave the place a second chance, and well - no cheap lunch special anymore, but a good Italian upscale meal all around. This is not a cheap place anyway, nor is it supposed to be or should be; it's for special occasions if you will. The outdoor space is loungy and nice, very good and shady for the summer, with a view of the pedestrian zone (where there are also two tables but this is a bit busy). What counts here is the food, and the chef doesn't just do classics, but there is genuine culinary inventiveness here. Nothing bizarre, but real creativity, and that is much appreciated and deserves the price asked for. All dishes were fine; wine, wine selection and wine recommendation a bit "ausbaufaehig". But what I would really emphasize here is a truly superb dessert (one was just okay but one was superb), a coffee semifreddo that in texture and taste was world class and that I still recall with my mouth. Rarely enough does that happen! Again, all other dishes were fine, including the bread and oil - but a true taste explosion experience (texture, too, again) will surely make us come back!

Despite all the criticism, the restaurant sticks to the small portions If a stone-biter fillet fits under a beer lid for €32 and the accompanying portion of spinach on a menu spoon, I wonder who should be satisfied here . It seems to have gone out of fashion eg gnoccis , potatoes or risotto to serve as a side dish The small plate was probably meant to suggest an appetizer, but it was too big for a “greeting from the kitchen ” My tip: before or after a visit to the restaurant you should eat something

This is not your good Italian next door. There is a small menu with special Italian dishes, but they are quite something. All 6 of us. it tasted very good. Overall, the price is high, but it is also justified by the effort involved in the dishes.

Briefly considered, front door opened and no regrets. Very nice welcome, good and very friendly service and a great meal. Like in Italy. Nothing Germanized. Authentic at moderate prices. We 4 brothers say: Thanks for the nice lunch.

Cuxhaven might not be at the top of your 'must visit' culinary destinations, but this restaurant -- located at the end of a pedestrianised (and deathly quiet) shopping street-- means that you can be assured of a very excellent meal. The outside tables don't do justice to the atmosphere inside, which is relaxed and comfortable. There aren't many tables, so it probably fills quickly. While there are only wines by the glass to choose from, they are quite nice and the Prosecco was good. The food was expertly prepared, with very fresh ingredients, Grilled vegetables, prawns, pastas, quality of the steak, freshness of fish carpaccios, all excellent. (We didn't try the pizza). The pasta was a touch dry, but they brought some brilliant olive oil and with a tiny splash it came to vibrant life. It was also possible to find a starter and main that were gluten free and deliciously satisfying. However, if you call ahead, they may be able to have additional gluten free options available. Service was kind, considerate, attentive and informative. Two thumbs up.

Nice ambience, good service. No good space to sit outside. Food was ok. Truffles were old/dry and a bit like carton. Not worth the price

When I was checking the menu, I asked if it would be possible to have one of the pasta dishes as a starter, bringing half a portion (knowing in many places it is not possible). They confirmed it would be fine, and served me a very tiny plate of tasty truffle and parmesan pasta. Had beef as a main, tasty as well and a nice glass of red wine. When the bill arrived, I checked it and they have charged a the amount for a full plate of pasta (over 18 euros). I complain, as I just got a tiny portion, and they come back with a reviewed bill with over 15 euros for the pasta. I said it is not fair, as the amount was less than even half a normal plate and the manager, in quite a rude tone, says it’s my fault for not having asked about the price when ordering and it’s always just a 15% discount on the plate for making it a starter. When I explained I didn’t find it fair, she only asked me whether I had enjoyed the food Is it just me or is it a joke that for giving you the tiniest portion of pasta they charge you 15 euros instead of 18? I would have preferred a full plate for 18, or be told it’s preferable to order any of the available starters. In summary, what was being a great experience due to the lovely food ended up ruined by an extremely disappointed customer approach.

It was our pleasure to visit this restaurant last week for the third time and I can confirm again that we had excellent food and great friendly service. All of the dishes are really home-made from the various types of pasta to all of the sauces and the desserts. If you are in cuxhaven and looking for a special night out this is the place to go. Great authentic home-made Italian food at affordable prices.

We went here - 4 adults and 2 children to enjoy a very nice lunch. We tried menu of the day which consisted of a delicious soup and a nice pasta dish, the kids got lasagna and one of us had a salad as well. Afterwards we had Panna Cotta as desert. Everything was very tasty especially the soup and the service was very friendly. Quite cheap as well.

I was from out of town, obviously, and had a late dinner here on a TUE evening. Had a glass of Chardonnay, the cream of tomato soup, and the lasagna bolognese. All very good. The waiter spoke Italian (native language), German, and some English. He gave me a small glass of limoncello before I left. Total price was 18.5 Euro - very reasonable.
