Stopped by for lunch. Had flammkuchen. It was outstanding. Service was great as well. Recommend you try.

We had schnitzel a number of times while in Germany and their schnitzel with the fried potatoes was our favorite of all. We spent the day on a river cruise and stopped at Saint Goar. It was very close to the drop off point on...the main street parallel to the river.More

I wish I could say better things about this place but there were some things hard to forgive. We wanted a pleasant evening meal and were seated in the rear part of this large "Bistro style". We chose inside to avoid the insufferable people who...must smoke with their meal. The greeting was friendly enough and we ordered wine and Beer. Calamari was on special so we tried that. Obviously not fresh but it was fine as were the drinks. Service was bright and prompt by the friendly young lady and we have no complaints. but the place simply lost credibility when, whilst waiting my second Beer to be poured, I noted the other waitress discretely light up a cigarette by the till. Then as the place became less busy she blythely started to openly smoke the cigarette and the other wait staff obviously thought this was OK. What happened to the No Smoking laws in Germany?? It is bad enough being forced inside on a fine night from tables outside where smoking takes place BUT it is unacceptable for smoking in a restaurant inside where it is illegal. And for it to be a staff member, maybe the owner, that perpetrated this makes the place off limits. We paid up and left. Disgraceful. AVOID!More

While your family is touring castles, wine tasting, and taking in the Rhine River sites, this is a good place to stop for lunch/snack/drinks. They have something for everyone and friendly service.

After yesterdays Pizza decided on a smaller meal. The picture of hamburger and fries on the menu was deceiving, when it came it was the size of a flat cap. But we managed to devour it, washed down with a couple of beers and followed...by cappuccino. All in all well worth a visit.More

Our family visited this restaurant a few times over a 4 day period; whilst the food quality was only on a par with the other St Goar restaurants, we really enjoyed the friendly and professional staff, the good coffees and the fresh bakes. Highly recommended.

You know that first day after you arrive on the overnight to Europe from the US? You're jet-lagged and not sure where in space-time you are. So figuring out where to eat becomes a major objective since it requires work. This place, hard beside the...B9 highway, (if you sit outdoors) has English-speaking staff and a translate menu. Easy. Not so easy: the hamburger that came on a roll toasted hard and which featured some off-flavor notes, like "crumbled something" on the meat. Oh, and the fishy sauce. Still, I lived to write the review and if you've flown to FRA from the US, driven from the airport to Sankt Goar and made it into the evening, you've probably been up about 22 hours and won't care that the only reason to eat here is you can't think straight.More

Since we were staying at one of the apartments in the same building as the restaurant, we ate here a number of times and had a variety of meals, all of which we enjoyed. The goulash soup was outstanding, and the service was great.

Very popular restaurant offering the type of reasonably priced dishes which are widely available in the area. Space inside is rather limited with many tables outside but they found us some bar chairs and a high table. Food was fine and we enjoyed the lively...atmosphere. Unusually, they accepted a credit card payment without charging extra.More
