I was staying at the Albris Hotel so I took my chances and tried the food at the hotel's restaurant. I must say food was great not too many options but the plates we chose were pretty good. I loved the perch. And of course the Engandiner nusstorte was just delicious.

Beautiful late summer day, brilliant sun, deep blue sky, 25 degrees - what better place to have a leisurely lunch than a terrace with great views, very good food and friendly service. Nice menu offering a very wide variety of dishes and several as half portion options which is great if you just want a light meal.

I reviewed this restaurant under the Hotel Albris name, as it is within it. We were recommended the restaurant by both friends and family. The staff was courteous and professional, the food beautifully presented and really delicious! I can recommend the saffron risotto with monkfish and fresh shaved horseradish and I am assured the calf liver. This restaurant will definitely... More

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this lovely restaurant. The menu was extensive with lots of tasty options available. We opted for the Grilled Fillet of Beef and the Pontresiner Plätzli which were both delicious. Small portions are available at reduced cost, which is great. The staff were very professional and friendly. We would definitely go again... More

We love to spend our yearly skiing holiday in Pontresina and whenever we are here we go to the Cafe Kochendorfer for coffee and cake. Their Engadiner Torte is among the best cakes you will find anywhere in the world. It's a great place to have lunch or dinner too, if you want to go somewhere else other than your... More

At the recommendation of someone from a nearby hotel, we tried the Kochendorfer for a snack on the terrace. We ended up having a mixed experience. The desserts (a chestnut puree pastry and an apricot torte) and fruit-filled iced tea were all excellent, but the coffee was only so-so (at best) and service (both in the bakery and on the... More

The restaurant is located in the center of the city, with a great view of the Alps. I went in the afternoon for a quick snack and was surprised with a great salad. Also, the waiter was extremely courteous and polite.

A midweek lunch after a long hike. We looked somewhat bedraggled, but the staff treated us well, "comme il faut". This is not a five star gourmet fancy restaurant. Yet the dishes are delicious and nicely (beautifully) presented. The service was outstanding. Polite but friendly, correct, proper and with fine timing. Not the first time we have been there, and... A friend who lives locally guided us to this establishment for lunch, specifically to enjoy dessert afterwards. The bakery on premise makes a special Engadine Tort that includes some cream in the center. It was remarkable and worth the visit alone. An added bonus was the excellent soups, bread and salad we enjoyed. My consomé with mark (beef marrow) was... More

This is a well-known restaurant and famous confiserie. We had lunch on the terrace on a wonderful sunny March day. The scenery, snow peaks and wonderful, clean air. The menu is more restricted after 2 pm but still the food is outstanding and the service the same. The mens' room impeccable. You better take home their famous almond cake.
