We stayed on the mooring overnight and had an excellent meal with the "Patron" giving advice and serving. Considering it was Sunday evening, when many restaurants are closed, this was certainly a good find. My wife considered the seafood risotto to be the best she had eaten, apart form her own! Equally my pasta and seafood was excellent. Some of... More

Second visit in as many weeks and it didn't disappoint. Warm friendly welcome by Guiseppe and all the staff but by far the best thing about The Plum Pudding is its delicious food. Every mouthful is heaven and we have decided to return many times so we can try everything on the menu. Would definitely recommend the fillet steak, cooked... More

This canalside restaurant (because it's not really a pub) was an excellent find on our boating travels. Mooring was easy and plentiful. Roma, who was obviously the boss was extremely helpful especially regarding information of attractions in the area. One of us went for the very reasonably priced 1 or 2 course lunch although perhaps there should have been some... More

Exceeded expectations yet again. The meat here is always top quality which you don't always get in restaurants theses days. I had the mussels to start in a delicious tomato sauce. Followed by lamb cutlets which were tender and meaty. Dessert was a roulade with Bailey's and a scoop of creamy rum n raisin ice cream. The service is always... More

We have just enjoyed out third visit to The Plum Pudding travelling by canal in our narrowboat. It is undoubtedly the best Italian restaurant we have eaten at outside Italy (and we've been to a lot all over the country). This time we tried the small plates and they were delicious. Previously we have enjoyed the Steak Rossini and the... More

Popped in for a bit of lunch last minute after a family outing. We didn't realised it was an Italian restaurant until reading the menu, but we're so glad we stayed. It was lovely, the food was faultless, the service was brilliant, and will definitely be returning again!!! Highly recommend.

First visit and we've already booked again. The steak Rossini was the BEST I've ever tasted. Superb food all round and the best tiramisu ever! Great service, lovely host Guisseppi and a visit from the chef. A very lovely evening!

Decided to dine out for Sunday lunch - but as it was a hot day my sisters partner would only come if we had canal/riverside location where we could eat alfresco and definitely did not want traditional Sunday lunch. Chose Plum Pudding purely from Trip advisor reviews. We were certainly not disappointed. Two opted for the Tagliatelle with chicken, bacon, spinach and... More
