Yes, it's expensive. It's a ski area. The food is OK, nothing special, but that's not the point. Nice lodge style dining hall, but if the weather's nice, it's a 5+ star outdoor venue, often with live music, great drinks, fire ring, and lounging on "the beach," the outdoor area with Adirondack chairs and spectacular views. After a morning or... More

Good music, sunny location, relaxed crowd. Self service food. Some Connecticut travellers new it by another name...

This is a great spot for a relaxed/beach like party atmosphere. Live music and a great bar make it a tough place to leave. Try the smoke house for great BBQ. A lot of history here as well. Enjoy!

Ok, you are on the mountain and hungry from a morning of skiing. Gorrono ranch has an excellent location, however, the food is below average. Most of the food is precooked elsewhere and moderately reheated. The turkey burger is mealy and tasteless. The vegetarian chili is edible but does not stand out with flavor. Typical is the high expense and... More

Wedding rehersal dinner held here. So much fun to arrive by gondola. Very attractive, cozy lodge-like restaurant at the top of the ski mountain. Terrific service and great food and wine. What more could you possibly want? Oh yeah, an incredible view. So...pretty much everything you could ask for in a restaurant. We would definitely recommend it.

This ski-in ski-out restaurant is great for lunch. It is less expensive than other location on the mountain. We had the chili in a bread bowl and it was very good. It was a great place to come in and warm up for lunch.

The first thing you notice riding up lift 4 is the wonderful smell coming from this place. Then you go buy overhead and see all the skiers on chairs with drinks listening to live music. Get off and ski right down and get good food. Beware it is expensive like all things on the mountain. My wife and I split... More

You won't go to Gorrono Ranch for the food, though the food is adequate. (That said, be sure to try the meat Chili.) You will go to Gorrono Ranch for the fun crowd, the live music and the apres ski cocktails. I can't even count the number of times I've sat in the upper deck of Gorrono Ranch near the... More

Pretty standard fare for skiing, burgers, soups, salads, fries, beer, drinks. The nice part is the outdoor seating one "the beach". It's great when it's warmer. A lodge style decor, very comfortable. You must ski to though, which is not a big deal, unless you're confused about which run will get you there.
