We tried to go here for dinner because we read some great reviews, but they didn't appear to be open for business. We parked in front of the house, my husband was getting out of the car and he heard a voice (never saw a person...weird) telling us to leave. This person didn't bother to tell us when they would... We were there on March 21 and it is in fact open. He is generally closed on Sundays and only serves dinner. It is one of the best creole meals on the island and one of the best dining deals on the island. You will dine on the front porch of Chef Tony's house. Chef Tony once served French President... We went to this restaurant but it is no longer open. Our guide was not sure if the owners moved or just closed down.

This is quite literally the most home cooked meal you will have on the island since the restaurant is also the chef's house. I came to this restaurant because it was recommended by Anthony Bourdain. If you see the youtube clip, I was expecting to be served by the owner's children but I then realized the clip was from 6-7... More

We ate here several years ago and it was horrid in every way. Canned peas, canned snails placed in used shells. I don't get the reviews on this one.

This place was on our list of things to do while we were there but we had a hard time getting there when they were open. First we went for lunch but they only service dinner. Then we went on a Sunday night but they closed on Sunday. We were finally able to get out there on our last night... More

It’s easy to drive by this place but you will miss not only a great meal but a memorable experience. There are two types of diners-those who have predetermined what great dining is and those with an open mind. For those willing to have a complete SXM experience-please read on. Very few tourist actually get to connect with the locals... More

Having dinner at Poulet d'Orleans is litterly having dinner in chef and owner's Anthony's (called Tony by his many return patrons who frequent his establishment) house. The dining room is his front porch of his house, which sits off the road after the first series of switchbacks exiting the Northern most section of Quartier d'Orleans as you leave the lower... More

It's not for those who might be sketched out by things 'off the beaten path'. Interior is kinda not the cleanest looking so and there didnt seam to be running water in the WC but the chef/owner is very nice and the food is nuts. Half chicken with creole sauce and lemon butter shrimp with conch fritters made the journey... More

My girlfriend and I came here for dinner during our trip to St Martin and we were not disappointed. A co-worker told me about the place. This restaurant is also a favorite of part-time resident, Anthony Bourdain. The place is a bit difficult to find..the restaurant is actually the owner's home, Tony. On the main road going towards Orient Beach... More
