Pretty good burgers. I mean it's only takeout, so what do you expect, but for the price it does it's job nicely.
Also, if you don't like it, you can use your burger as a mattress and have a nap on it.
They're that big.

Got dinner from here, burger option were great but they really big not the fill but the roll it’s like 6 slices of bread, thought we were getting chicken strips but ended up with chicken breast cut up and crumbed ok cause I paid $6.00 for 3 pieces but not chicken strips chips are great.

Fabulous tasting burgers that are rather large.......we get take away, go home and cut it in half!! With a small serve of chips it is plenty for both of us. Always trucks stopped there as it is on the highway away from the commercial area, so always plenty of parking, off street for cars, on street for big trucks. Give it a try, I doubt if you will be disappointed!!

Not a chicken store anymore but rather an Asian food place that also does chickens. Haven't tried the Asian food but it looks OK. The problem is that the staff do not understand English very well and constantly stuff up your order. After experiencing this I even tried to point at the food that I wanted, making it ABUNDANTLY clear what I wanted but even then they stuffed it up.
I have never been a huge fan of Chooksys but with the new owners I am not going to make the effort to go there only to have the order wrong. How would you feel coming back to your family, having order a 'Family Hot Chicken' only to discover they have given you a chicken burger to feed a family of three?
If you are willing to take a chance and just get *something* then perhaps the lucky dip style of service make be OK but personally, when I order something I really do expect to get what I ordered.
Oh - BTW - don't try to ring and complain as their telephone automatically goes to an answering machine. Perhaps to avoid all the irate customers?

My husband went in at lunch time- NO chicken ready yet. Asked for chips with NO salt. Ended up with chips with mountains of salt. Remembered why we have not visited in the past 3/4 years. Will NEVER go again. Even McDonald's is better.

Went to bomadery before Xmas about a month before they had no chickens so benefit of doubt
Went back thinking all was going to be great ordering dinner got told can't have chicken n chips must have salad so I asked if I could order chips
Separate okay but I have to have the salad so proceeded so I got chips separate and proceeded to order 2 chicken n salads took it away only too fine
One quarter chicken n salad.
So please be careful

Ordered the schnitty box and all the schnitzels were over cooked. For a place that only cook chicken you don’t it very well.

Food was decent takeaway, but the older lady at the counter was pretty unpleasant to deal with. I assume she's an owner, because there's no way the staff would be permitted to interact with customers in the manner I observed.

Walked down to Chooksy's for lunch. Seating is comfortable in a well lit/daylight area. Very clean.Friendly service. A huge array of choices in food from full BBQ chickens, Salads, Burgers and chips. They are happy to mix chicken and salad & chips etc. Plus drinks. Huge serves and very reasonable prices. No wonder the Truckies stop there. Also toilets around the back, just ask for the key. Friendly Family atmosphere. We will definately be going there again. Better than Mcdonalds or Kentucky Fried Chicken.

We stopped at Chooksey's on a very hot day looking for lunch. Chooksys serves excellent chicken and chips and has many salads and burgers on offer as well. Great value for money,very tasty food, clean toilet available. Chooksy's is air conditioned and the staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is easy, there are some shaded spots under trees if you have pets in the car with you. We would definitely stop at this hidden gem again in our travels.

This place has fabulous food and not just chicken, they have salads, and hot dishes also. Great food, fabulous, friendly staff and a real treat to go to and eat in or take away and to top that off the prices are very reasonable and it is a very popular place right on the highway off road parking.

Well, the usual suspects such as Maccas etc could learn a thing or two from this Takeaway.
Situated on the northern side of Nowra, western side of the Princes Hwy.
Very easy to drive past as its kms along from the bunched outlets, although the huge "chook" sign sure grabs your attention.
I think the true indication of this cafe is that it is frequented by locals.
Get this: you will need BOTH hands to eat their burgers!!
Twice the size of a Big Mac and twice as tasty... same price!! (If you bought both individually.)
Vast array of beautiful salads and takeaway meals.
Excellent alternative!

How could i fault it! There burges are HUGE and made fresh to order. They have a huge range of salads & hot foods and always friendly. Amazing

Easy parking good choice of menu...very expensive...ore like a takeaway can be seated inside but very hot...worse hamburger I have had more like a patty on a salad roll
