We had just toiled up the hill from Serralunga so were needing a drink. Very friendly welcome and prompt service. Such a lovely aspect looking out towards Serralunga. A short menu of the day; choose the lot for 20 euro or 7 per course, all good home cooking. Nice selection of wine and house carafes which is not that common... More

We had lunch and had to wait a little bit longer than we think is reasonable. However the weather was nice and Casteiglione Falletto is beautiful!

As described, restaurant serves a 5 course set menu ending with a warm secondi. Food was delicious -- best carne cruda of my trip. Also loved the celery salad! Great view, good wines, and helpful nice people who run it and serve.

This is a great, very casual restaurant in the beautiful town of Castiglione Falletto, with an incredible terrazza (patio) overlooking the valley. There is no menu here, they offer 5 dishes starting with antipasti and ending with one secondo (hot dish), and they will stop serving when you say you've had enough. The service was friendly and the food is... More

Don't come to this restaurant if you're expecting a gourmet meal.....DO come to this restaurant if you like simple country style regional cuisine and certainly enough for a light lunch. With a somewhat hurried but for sure friendly service. La Terrazza was totally full on a warm Saturday Summer day, but we found the service the view and the food... More

We arrived unplanned in this unambitious-looking cafe, which transformed itself within an hour's time into a bustling, charming Italian countryside inn. The location is wonderful, with the terrace overlooking the rolling wineyards hills. Food formula is simple: five cold dishes for the set price of €20 for two. We had a couple of glasses of wine, water, cheese and coffee.... More

We enjoyed a memorable, leisurely lunch on the terrace at this spectacularly situated restaurant just a short drive out of Alba. Following a cheery discussion with the waiter about the great wines produced in Piemonte, we worked our way through their simple, sophisticated five-course tasting menu (no pasta, no pizza) and various good-quality reds by the glass. Highly recommended

This simple bar right in the centre of Castiglione Falletto uses to serve exclusively all the best and typical starters from piedmont (most of them cold or raw) coupled with the excellent local wine production and a beautiful view of the country side part of unesco heritage. The place is informal and easy going, perfect for a long sunday lunch... More

The 5 antipasto lunch menu is delicious -- especially the mixed bean/chickpea salad. (Not being a huge fan of beans, I was skeptical. Afterwards, I wanted to return for this dish every day.) The small menu consisted of tasty dishes typical to the region. The view was amazing. The wine was definitely drinkable. And the wait-staff was lovely and helpful.... More
