2 of us went fairly late on a Thursday night after driving all day. Great service, attentive staff, yummy food, large serves and licensed. We ordered a dumpling entree between us and shared our meals. We were hungry but couldn't eat all the food. Will definately be back next time I am in the area to try more dishes.

Enjoyed the decore and the service - it was first class. The meals were on the whole very nice; massaman good, howver the fish was a bit poorly - apple fried snapper was all apple and snapper was a bit unders. It is a good restaurant with just a bit more sharpness on certain dishes.

I have visited Khao San Road many times and it never ceases to impress. The food is fantastic - the lamb with peppercorns is outstanding. The service is also exceptional - well worth a visit !

I have dined and also had takeaways from this restaurant. I have always found the food exceptional with lovely flavours. The service has been excellent and the place has a nice ambience about it.

Have tried a handful of Thai restaurants in Melbourne and this is the best so far. The staff were friendly and accommodating. But the food is what will bring me back. Can recommend the Tom yum soup, the tamarind tempura prawns, and the chefs made us (at our request) crispy tofu instead of crispy pork in the Chinese broccoli dish... More

We have been to Khao San Road numerous times now - one of the area's great Thai restaurants. The Massaman curry is to die for and all the dishes are very authentic and delicious ! However the service has ranged from good to very average - not that that has stopped the crowds ! The really disappointing thing is that... More

We had Papaya Salad, Lamb curry, fried rice and a whole crispy fried fish with green apple salad. All delicious. We even found room for desert. All 5 of us enjoyed the meal.

Best restaurant in Essendon, Moonee ponds area. It can be quite busy make sure you book in advance as generally no walk ins are available. Large portion sizes and BYO service is available. They also offer a take away service but the menu is slightly different, average time for take away is 45 minutes so I advise to ring and... More

Some restaurants are closing down in Moonee Ponds. I think Khao San Road is going to keep on keeping on. If you like Thai, you won't be disappointed in giving this place a try.
