The location of this restaurant is nice, the people are friendly and the service is good. The restaurant speciality is the grill buffet serving good and tender meat of lamb and pork. So far so good, however, at a stiff price per person at SEK 338,- we had higher expectations. Especially the side dishes (buffet) did not defend this price.... More

Went here for their "Lammgille" grilled lamb at 320SEK. Sat in the garden which was nice. However the food was so-so, sometimes perfect sometimes just plain cold. The stewed lamb was the best and the apple stomp. The wine was thin, served in dirty glasses, did send them back, 80SEK/glass. In all too expensive and bad service, the surrounding is... More

I especially liked the pulled lamd in this nice athmosphere. We got a very friendly service and kids enjoyed playing in the garden, which was posssible as the place was not too crowded at this evening.

The restaurant has really good potensial, but the management is lacking or non-exsicting. The setting is nice in a beautiful garden, and the food was really great. But, the overpriced (compulsary) buffet was constantly lacking food because they did not refill after something got empty. Also, the buffet did not contain all of the things that was stated in the... We went with a big party of 12 and were seated in the beautiful garden. Order was taken within OK time and we headed for the mandatory buffe. Now the disappointment started. The place is very understaffed and underdimensioned for the number of tables, resulting in constant empty bowls at the buffe table. Refilling took ages and we had to... More

We had the lamb barbecue buffet a perfect evening in the sunny warm mediveal garden. You get to choose what you want and the barbecue chief serves you lamb stew, crunchy parts, racks and other meat parts. Old style cabbage, wonderful gravy and lots of different vegetables. Our kids loved it too. Highly recommended.

The location of this summer restaurant is stunning at the back of St Nicolai ruin. You sit on tables in the grass and the kids can run around the ruin and the gardens and play while you wait for the food. However this is the only thing which is wonderful. We, like most guests, paid for roasted lamb and and... More

Description
Frimis is beautifully located in the heart of Visby, central yet still a calm oasis, a mere stone's throw from the cathedral and one of our most beautiful ruins, St. Nicolai. The Masonic lodge has a unique historic setting dating back to the 12th century. The building's courtyard is dominated by a walnut tree and the fantastic view of the church ruins.
