We spent 1 day at the cider house eating the unbeatable cider house menu and as we loved the food and even more so the treatment of the owner and the employees, we tried part of the incredible menu in the restaurant-lounge the following week. My partner and I have only stayed one night for dinner, as we were passing through and stayed in Urnieta when we returned to visit San Sebastian, so we decided to dine here at the cider house. It was all great. We ordered some nice xuletas and blizzards that were for sucking our fingers, but we were delighted with the foia salad. The lovely waiters, made us feel at home. Incredibly Good

We went after locals recommended to visit a cidreria if we wanted a typical basque dinner. We were told to order the cidreria menu. Upon arrival that is what we did. The menu was 33€ each and with it offering an all you can drink menu we didn't expect much. Once the food starting coming it got better and and better! We started with tortilla de bacalao followed with monkfish, then a humongous beef steak and finally with a platter of cheese, walnuts and jelly. We've been to many restaurants ranging in prices but we've never been more full and more satisfied with the price - food ratio. The staff were very friendly. The only thing that could have been a bit better if anything, would be the setting which was a canteen like seating arrangement. However, this did not take away anything from the experience... And a few bottles of cider later, you couldn't care less where you're sat 😉😂
