We spent a pleasant night there. There is a well-equipped kitchen, accessible to the hotel guests. Unfortunately, no washer with free access.
In the evening we ate at the restaurant: great choice, seasonal products, finely cooked. It was very good, at a reasonable price in terms of quality.

Nice place at good price. We had a small room with a double bed. It's small but very clean and comfortable. A large, well-equipped kitchen available for everyone. Large plot of land by the river with picnic table, swing, gazebo and fireplace. Nothing negative to say about this place.

We stayed at the hotel so we took our breakfast there.
Tasty food with many choices. The waiting time was a bit long but overall it was perfect. We will come back again.

Ridiculous portions for Awards that are too expensive!
No apologies from the waitress after we tell her our dissatisfaction with the portions, which look like child portions!
Do absolutely nothing!
Water served by the glass, hot as urine to be polite!
In short, very ordinary cuisine, ridiculous portions and you pay the Big Award!
Finished!

We were very pleased with our lunch (fish soup and salad for me, pasta for my husband). Interesting approach to food here, and they also sell gourmet style products in their little store. This place was packed on a weekday lunch hour, and not with tourists.

The restaurant propose a large choice of dishes from Québec, some of them are pretty original.
The food was good and a bit cheaper than in other restaurants of this type.
Good local beers.

What a pleasant surprise! Gourmet style fish soup (chowder) for lunch, packed with salmon, white fish, clams, shrimp and garnished with a perfectly grilled scallops on top. Loads of organic and freshly made lunch options. Small shop on site selling local products (jams, jelly, kale chips, etc.)

The Baie du Chaleur fish soup alone was worth our 7-hour drive. Service is GREAT, and they are very patient with folks who don't speak much French!

My daughter and I were traveling through the Gaspésie area and were looking for a place to eat. We decided to stop there. The food was homemade and so incredibly delicious. When I got home, I discovered I had left my sweater there. I emailed the Auberge who wrote back immediately telling me they could send me my sweater. After checking into different methods of shipment, the director, Kathleen, found me the cheapest way;by mail. She emailed back and advised me she had mailed it! What amazing service! Thank you form the bottom of my heart!

We were starving after a long morning drive and decided to try this place because it looked appealing from the outside. While the waitress did not speak a lot of english, she did her best, which was much better than our non-existent French. We greatly appreciated her efforts. The food was glorious. We had the soup of the day, creamy carrot, smoked meat sandwiches with fries and salad, and a lime tartlet for dessert. The soup was terrific and the sandwiches were excellent. This was such a worthwhile stop. Highly recommend you try it if you are in the area!!

After the ride to the top of Mount St-Joseph, a stop at Auberge du Marchand was in order and this small place had been recommended to me by friends who live in the area. The lunch menu looked decent but the poutine with porc effiloché attracted my attention. Although I took a small portion, it was big enough for a full meal (I would not have been able to finish the bigger portion that was available on the menu... none of my friends were!). I went back a couple of times after sports event in the area and both the food and the service were consistent and good.

Be sure to try the fish soup when you stop in at the Auberge. It is loaded with fresh local seafood and serves as a hearty meal all by itself. The addition of Sushi, while unexpected and a bit quirky, is nevertheless a bonus. Wonderful dinner.

I had a great salad. The staff was very nice and effective. My first table was by the window but I changed since there were about 20 flies bouncing around... not very appetizing! The other table was much better. Good ambiance and the menu offers a lot of variety, including sushi!
